Lead the CFO team behind 50+ agencies and ecommerce brands. WHO WE ARE AgenCFO builds and runs the full finance function for agencies and ecommerce brands doing $1M–$50M in revenue. Since 2023 we've worked with 50+ businesses. We're hiring a leader to run our CFO team and oversee all client delivery. WHY JOIN US • You own client success. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own the quality of delivery across every client, agencies and ecommerce • Lead our CFO and bookkeeping team with regular reviews, coaching and clear standards • Hire and train new CFOs and bookkeepers, from first interview to full client load • Be the go-to person when something is new or hard: cash crises, banking issues, M&A and funding support • Cover clients when a CFO is out, and carry a small client load yourself at the start • Turn every one-off fix into an SOP the team can reuse WHAT YOU WON'T DO • Sales or chasing new clients. We bring them in and onboard them. • Day-to-day bookkeeping or tax prep. You make sure the quality is high. • Building every model yourself. You review them and catch what others miss. WHAT YOU BRING • 7+ years in finance, with 3+ years leading a finance team or working as a (fractional) CFO • Hands-on experience with agencies or ecommerce brands: retainer margins, utilization, contribution margin, inventory cash cycles, Shopify/Amazon payouts • You've run a full finance function: books, reporting, cash, AR/AP and tax coordination • You've managed a remote team, and hired and trained finance people yourself • Strong financial modelling, with a sharp eye for errors • Solid with Xero and QuickBooks • You use AI in your daily work and want to use more • Fluent English, with [4+ hours] of overlap with both CET and EST WHAT MATTERS MORE THAN YOUR CV • You solve problems without waiting for a checklist • You make the people around you better • You fix the system instead of fixing the same problem twice • You care about client results long-term, not just the next deliverable COMPENSATION & GROWTH • Base: $10,000/month, fixed, full-time • Bonus: tied to company performance READY TO APPLY? Core Responsibilities

Lead the CFO and bookkeeping teams, oversee the quality of finance delivery for agency and ecommerce clients, and coach, hire, and train team members. Handle complex client finance issues, cover client accounts as needed, and turn solutions into reusable standard operating procedures.

Requirements

Requires 7+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years leading a finance team or working as a CFO, with hands-on experience supporting agencies or ecommerce businesses. Candidates should have managed a full finance function and remote team, be skilled in financial modeling and Xero or QuickBooks, use AI in their work, and have fluent English with at least four hours of overlap with both CET and EST.
