Procurement Manager Location: Europoort or Amsterdam, The Netherlands Hours per Week: Full time Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for logistics, fleet management, and commercial negotiations? DP World Multimodal Solutions is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across trailers, intermodal, leasing arrangements, and associated services. In this key role, you will drive cost efficiency, supplier performance, asset availability, and long-term commercial value while supporting the growth of our European operations. You will work closely with Operations, Fleet, Carrier Management, Freight Management and Finance teams to ensure procurement strategies support business objectives, operational reliability, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement and capacity sourcing strategies for trailers, intermodal equipment, leasing, and associated services. Lead tenders, supplier selection processes, commercial negotiations, and contract awards. Evaluate purchasing versus leasing options to optimise cost and operational flexibility. Build and manage strategic relationships with equipment manufacturers, leasing providers, traction providers and maintenance suppliers. Liaise with procurement teams across DP World group companies to leverage synergies, share best practices, align sourcing strategies, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and supplier consolidation. Negotiate framework agreements and service-level agreements that deliver measurable commercial value. Monitor supplier performance, compliance, service quality, and delivery commitments. Drive procurement savings, cost avoidance initiatives, and total cost of ownership improvements. Support fleet investment, replacement, and expansion programmes across Europe. Identify and mitigate supplier, commercial, and supply chain risks. Promote sustainable sourcing practices and equipment innovation. Your Profile We are looking for a commercially driven procurement professional who can influence stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and build strong supplier partnerships. Requirements Significant procurement experience with a proven track record, ideally within logistics, transport, shipping, or supply chain environments. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tools, governance, and best practices. Hands-on experience leading commercial negotiations and supplier management activities. Strong communication, engagement, and influencing skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organisation. Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Strong leadership capability and the potential to build and develop future procurement capabilities. Fluency in English. Candidates should have significant procurement experience, ideally in logistics, transport, shipping, or supply chain, with strong knowledge of procurement processes and hands-on experience in negotiations and supplier management. They should communicate and influence effectively, collaborate across functions, manage competing priorities, demonstrate leadership potential, and be fluent in English.
