Job Description

TL;DR: homii is a fast growing Amsterdam based tech company that builds software to support public institutions. With a team of over 20 people, we’re looking for a full-time junior to join our Deployment team and help get new buildings live in our platform. You’re sharp with numbers, have an affinity for tech, and are curious to uncover the why when something doesn’t add up. About homii homii builds software for public institutions, with a first focus on Dutch housing corporations. We believe much of the complexity these organisations deal with every day is unnecessary, and that good software can take it away. Our platform handles work like service cost settlements and energy costs. We collect data from different sources and ensure, through our software, that our clients get numbers they can rely on. That way, their people spend less time in spreadsheets and more time helping their tenants. The role Our current clients are housing corporations. When they start using homii, all of their buildings need to be set up in our platform: the data, the configuration, and the calculations for service costs and energy. Most of this happens automatically. You check whether it went right, and if it didn't, you fix it. You'll join the Deployment team and work closely with Customer Success and our engineers. Roughly, your time is split like this: ~60% onboarding and reviewing new buildings ~30% looking into questions and issues on buildings that are already live ~10% maintenance: re-onboarding, configuration changes and blocked buildings In your role, we not only expect you to onboard and look into questions, but improve and further optimise the way we work over time. What you'll do Onboard new buildings and review them before they go live. Make manual changes where the automated part needs adjustments. Look into questions and data issues on live buildings, often flagged by Customer Success or a client. Find the cause, fix it, and explain what happened. Re-onboard buildings, change configurations, and get blocked buildings moving again by chasing the information that's missing. Help the Customer Success team answer technical questions from clients. Learn to work with our database and tools like Postman. We'll teach you. Who you are You're precise, structured and have an analytical mindset; you like working with numbers. When something doesn't add up, you see it and want to understand why. You like getting the hang of a process and then doing it really well. You're comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets. You know some SQL, Python or similar, or you'd like to learn. You can explain a technical problem to someone who isn't technical. Your English is good. Dutch is a plus. Ideally you live in or near Amsterdam, so you can come into the office regularly. Remote is possible too. Where this role can grow homii is somewhere between a start-up and a scale-up, and we're in the final stages of building our second product. So the company is growing, and new roles and responsibilities come up as we go. This role will change too. We're automating more and more of onboarding, so over time you'll do less of the onboarding itself and become the person who understands why the numbers come out the way they do, and who helps Customer Success explain that to clients. Where you go from there depends on what you're good at and what you enjoy: more technical, more client-facing, or something that doesn't exist at homii yet. What we offer You'll learn a lot, quickly, working with experienced engineers. Your work has a real impact on people living in social housing. Room to grow into a more technical or advisory role. A full-time role with competitive compensation. 4 days per week is an option. Amsterdam office; but we are flexible to discuss where and how you work. A relatively small team of people who care about each other and are intrinsically motivated. What it's like at homii homii is a team of over 20 people, covering all of Europe, who care about what they're building - and about each other. Among us: a national swimmer, a former zookeeper, a ballet dancer, padel lovers and engineers who spend their evenings reading about obscure database architecture. Our #random Slack channel is full of everything; from podcasts on Gödel's incompleteness and infinity paradoxes to novel AI editor concepts, obscure coffee varieties, Linux exploits, and Wikipedia rabbit holes. Autonomy and trust are the default We hire the full version of a person, and then trust them. There's no approval process for how you structure your week, where you work, or how you solve a problem. What matters is the output, and what it does for our customers and your colleagues. Interested? We'd love to hear from you. Send your CV and LinkedIn profile to [email protected] and tell us why you're interested in joining homii.
