Key Account Manager - Benelux
Key Skills
Job Description
Ready to shape the next chapter of ZURU Toys’ growth across the Netherlands and Belgium? 🔝 Who We Are? 📍 ZURU is a reimagination company. We look for categories that have stood still, then we build next-generation products and brands that set the new standard. ZURU Toys is reimagining play. ZURU Edge is reinventing everyday consumer brands. Rhodes Pet Science is reimagining pet science. ZURU Tech is leading the next building revolution. 📍 ZURU started in 2003 with two brothers from New Zealand, and we're still founder-owned and operated today. Since then we've become the world's second-biggest privately held toy company, and nearly half of all Gen Y and Gen Z households with kids in the US own a ZURU product. Today we're 5,000 people in 34 offices, selling into more than 150 markets, backed by over 100 acres of fully automated manufacturing. And we're only getting started. 📈 The Opportunity The Key Account Manager Benelux manages ZURU Toys' specialty and value retail accounts in the Netherlands and Belgium: Intertoys, ToyChamp/DreamLand and the NETBA buying group (including Broze and Suprabazar), and Zeeman. The role owns the annual business plan, range and pricing negotiations, promotions and in-store execution for these accounts, and leads the 2027 per-brand, per-retailer plan to close the Circana market share gap between Benelux specialty retail and other European markets. It is an office-based role in Arnhem, working daily with the General Manager Benelux, local marketing and the European sales and supply chain teams. 🎯 The Impact You'll Make Within the first 6 months, the Key Account Manager has taken over all assigned accounts, agreed 2027 range, pricing and promotion plans with each buyer, and launched the 2027 brand activation plan with marketing at Intertoys and ToyChamp/DreamLand. Within 12 months, they deliver the 2027 revenue and margin budget for their accounts, show a measurable Circana share gain for ZURU's priority brands in Benelux specialty retail, and have built Zeeman into a recurring account with a structured seasonal buying plan. 📌 What You'll Do Account management: Own the commercial relationship with buyers and category managers at Intertoys, ToyChamp/DreamLand, NETBA and Zeeman, including quarterly business reviews. Joint business planning: Build and deliver an annual plan per account covering range, volume, margin, promotions and marketing support. Negotiation: Negotiate listings, FOB pricing, trade terms, promotion funding and newness allocation within ZURU's price architecture and margin targets. 2027 Circana brand plan: Lead the per-brand, per-retailer activation plan with local marketing, using Circana and sell-out data to set share targets and track progress monthly. Range and newness: Present SS and AW newness, secure listings for priority launches and agree phase-out plans for slow movers with each retailer. Forecasting and orders: Own account forecasts in the quarterly forecast cycle and manage FOB order flow with supply chain so promotional windows are delivered on time. Sell-through and in-store execution: Track sell-through and stock per account weekly, act on gaps with replenishment, promotions or markdown plans, and check in-store displays and execution. 💡 What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree (HBO/WO) in Commercial Economics, Business Administration or a related field. 3 to 5 years of key account management in toys, FMCG or consumer goods, with direct responsibility for national retail accounts in the Netherlands or Belgium. Track record in annual retailer negotiations and joint business planning, including trade terms, promotion funding and margin management. Hands-on use of Circana, Nielsen or GfK market data and retailer sell-out data to build fact-based category and brand cases. Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken (French is a plus); advanced Excel and experience with SAP or a comparable ERP. 🚀 Who thrives at ZURU This isn't a 9-to-5. We move fast, think big and set goals most companies would call impossible, then go after them. The people who thrive here are entrepreneurs at heart. They own their work, chase bold ideas and never stop raising the bar. At ZURU, you drive your career, and we give you the platform to take it as far as you can. There are opportunities here that you won’t find anywhere else, and you'll be surrounded by talented people who make things happen. We're a true meritocracy: we reward impact, not tenure. How we work? Big ideas happen when great people work side by side, so we're office-first by design. Being together means faster collaboration, sharper decisions and stronger teams, and it's where the real learning happens. Some flexibility may be available depending on the role, location and business needs, but most roles are office-based. Want to see what life at ZURU really looks like?
