Technical Product Manager (Data Platform)
Key Skills
Job Description
Own the data foundation behind how marketers decide where their budget goes. You know what makes a measurement model trustworthy, and you know it only creates value once it works inside a client’s own stack. You get energy from the moment a complex dataflow turns into a product people rely on every day. At Billy Grace, that is exactly the job: you own the data layer marketers use to decide how, where and when to spend. Your impact Marketers make their most important calls on the data we deliver. You make sure that data is reliable, scalable and lands in the tools clients already use. You lead our most technical initiatives: marketing mix modelling (MMM), data sharing, Conversion API (CAPI) and MCP. As we grow and deepen our partnership with Databricks, you shape how Billy Grace data moves into and out of our clients’ data environments, in the Netherlands, the UK and beyond. What you build is the foundation for everything on top of it, including our AI agent Quin. What You’ll Do You own the delivery of the data and technical initiatives on our roadmap, from first scoping to launch. You give input on prioritisation based on client needs, business goals and our product OKRs. You translate what clients and the business need into clear technical requirements, data specifications and well-scoped user stories, so engineers can build with confidence. Day to day, you work side by side with engineering and data science. Together you make architecture choices, shape data models, pipelines and integrations, and weigh trade-offs on feasibility and scalability. You also own the hands-on product work behind our Databricks partnership: you turn joint initiatives into requirements and deliver data sharing capabilities together with engineering. You stay close to the people who use our data. Through continuous discovery with clients, partners and internal teams, you learn how marketers and data teams work with our data today and how they want to work with it tomorrow. You track data quality, reliability and adoption, and use those signals to decide what to improve next. With the product lead and design team, who own the application experience, you make sure the data layer powers the application layer, Quin included. When a data product launches, you provide the technical documentation and input product marketing needs to enable our commercial teams. You follow what’s happening in marketing measurement, data platforms and privacy-first data collection, and bring what matters into the roadmap. And you help build a collaborative product culture with high ownership, rooted in the Billy Grace Code. What We Offer A competitive salary that matches your experience and responsibilities. A MacBook and a workspace in the heart of Amsterdam (hybrid). 25 holiday days, plus your birthday off. Trust, freedom and the room to really build, with space for your own ideas and initiative. Plenty of room to learn, experiment and keep growing. Access to OpenUp for your mental health and wellbeing. An annual volunteering day where we give back together. Daily catered lunch, good coffee and an open, informal culture. Ambitious, curious colleagues who challenge and help each other. Drinks, team outings and an annual Billy Grace trip that doesn’t cost you any holiday days. The Billy Grace Code Mutual trust is our foundation Trust is the default. Direct feedback, clear decisions, and we talk with people, not about them. Leave your ego at the door We act in the best interest of Billy Grace. We let go of what doesn’t work and choose the mission. Decide fast, learn fast - together We move quickly, share insights and keep improving as a team. Choose connection over screen We choose conversation over chat. Relationships build the company. Keep it simple, stupid Focus on what works. Cut what doesn’t add value. Gewoon gezellig Energy, fun and celebrating wins together. What You Bring 3–6 years of experience in marketing or data measurement, with a deep understanding of the models behind it, such as MMM, attribution or incrementality. This understanding matters most to us. A product mindset: you’re curious about clients, comfortable presenting to them, and always link what you build to its commercial impact. You think in use cases and workflows rather than standalone features: how something is implemented on the client side, how it fits their existing tools and processes, and what it changes in their day-to-day work. Experience in a B2B SaaS environment. A solid understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, APIs and data integrations. Hands-on experience with, or a strong working understanding of, modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery. You write clear technical specifications and hold your own in technical discussions with developers. You make complex data topics clear for non-technical colleagues and clients. A pragmatic, hands-on mindset and the drive to own a fast-moving product area. Experience in digital marketing, adtech or martech is a very strong plus, as is working with Jira and Productboard. You live in the Netherlands and are legally allowed to work here. This is a requirement for this role. Why Billy Grace You join a team that combines speed, curiosity and fun with real depth. We work with freedom and trust: you get the space to experiment, push ideas through and make visible impact on customers and product. Together we build technology used every day by brands and agencies in Europe who want to move forward, from Patagonia and Action to Draft Digital and Happy Horizon. Apply Sounds like you? We’d love to hear from you. For this role, we don’t work with external agencies.
