Job Description

Ready to take ownership of procurement while helping shape how it works? At Greener, you’ll combine hands-on purchasing and supplier management with the opportunity to improve the processes behind them. From sourcing and contracts to Procure-to-Pay, you’ll help us build a procurement function that’s ready for our next stage of growth.

As Procurement Specialist, you will play an important role in this next phase. You will combine hands-on operational purchasing with tactical sourcing and process improvement, taking ownership of daily purchasing activities and supplier follow-up while helping us build stronger procurement processes, contract management and supplier governance.

Your team

You will join the Procurement team and report to the Procurement Manager. You will work closely with Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, People and colleagues from other teams.

Together with the Procurement Manager, you will help build a professional and scalable procurement function, combining effective purchasing with strong supplier management and well-structured procurement processes.

Your role

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who is comfortable switching between recurring operational work and improvement projects. You will solve routine supplier and delivery issues independently, run assigned sourcing projects within agreed mandates and take ownership of professionalising contract management and supplier management practices.

You will also help colleagues adopt our Procure-to-Pay process and bring greater structure to contract ownership across the organisation. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will independently manage operational and tactical procurement within agreed mandates and escalate material commercial or supplier risks when needed.

Your mission is to combine effective day-to-day procurement with building scalable contract, supplier and Procure-to-Pay processes for Greener’s continued growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Take ownership of day-to-day procurement activities, from obtaining quotations and negotiating terms through to contracting, purchase order management, supplier follow-up and delivery coordination.

  • Take ownership of establishing and maintaining structured contract administration, including a central contract register, tracking key obligations, pricing and renewal dates, and implementing clear Contract Owner and Contract Holder responsibilities across the organisation.

  • Run assigned RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, compare suppliers, assess total cost and negotiate within your agreed mandate.

  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, qualification, risk classification and operational supplier performance reviews. Monitor supplier performance, resolve operational issues and drive follow-up actions, while supporting the Procurement Manager in strategic supplier management activities.

  • Help further develop our Procure-to-Pay process, procurement reporting, master data and controls, and coordinate supplier-related ISO 27001 requirements and evidence.

What success looks like

Within your first six months:

  • You have taken ownership of agreed purchase requests, purchase orders and routine supplier follow-up, with clear escalation arrangements in place.

  • A central contract register is operational, existing supplier contracts have been inventoried and Contract Owner and Contract Holder responsibilities are documented.

  • You have independently completed your first assigned operational or tactical RFQs and are ready to manage further sourcing projects within agreed mandates.

  • The Procurement Manager has less involvement in routine operational procurement because issues, follow-up and records are handled reliably.

Why go Greener?

Besides contributing to a greener world, here is what you will get:
