Job Description

Introduction to the job

As an Electrical Connectivity Design Engineer, you will define the electrical test rigs (Qualification Tools) used for DUV lenses and illuminators. You ensure that electrical subcomponents work together seamlessly by selecting the right interfaces, maintaining reliable power distribution and safeguarding communication signal integrity. A key focus of this role is owning and continuously improving electrical design documentation, including cable overviews and detailed wiring definitions, while also supporting electrical system integration and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Role and responsibilities

As part of a multidisciplinary development team, you will be responsible for the design, documentation and integration of electrical connectivity solutions for qualification tools and test rigs. You will work closely with stakeholders across Development & Engineering to ensure solutions are reliable, manufacturable, testable and ready for future product needs.

As an Electrical Connectivity Design Engineer, you will:

  • Own, define, document and maintain electrical modules, wiring infrastructure, cable overviews and detailed wiring designs.
  • Represent Electronic Development within multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Perform trade-off studies and drive technical decisions for new or changed electrical functions while aligning with stakeholders.
  • Improve electrical architectures by focusing on integrability, manufacturability, testability and reliability.
  • Create work breakdowns and effort estimates, and support development activities with external co-developers when needed.
  • Support test rig integration, troubleshooting and verification activities, including electrical measurements and validation of requirements.
  • Contribute to the imaging test rig roadmap and support EMC testing and documentation activities.

Education and experience

We are looking for an engineer with a solid electrical engineering background and experience working in complex multidisciplinary environments. Experience with electrical connectivity design and technical documentation is essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Multiple years of experience designing electronic functions and working within multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Experience defining specifications and aligning technical solutions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge of electronics combined with basic understanding of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.
  • Experience with electrical infrastructure, wiring definitions or connectivity design.
  • Experience supporting system integration, verification or qualification activities.
  • Knowledge of PCB design is considered a plus.

Skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you'll always have new challenges and new problems to solve, and working together is the only way to do that. You’ll be part of a creative and dynamic environment where collaboration, ownership and innovation are key. To thrive in this role, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, systematic approach.
  • High attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy and documentation.
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively drive improvements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and make pragmatic technical decisions.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to balance technical quality and project needs.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Other information

  • This role is primarily focused on electrical connectivity design, ownership of electrical documentation and continuous improvement of qualification tools.
  • You will work on DUV lens and illuminator test infrastructure within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • The position combines approximately 80% electrical design ownership and documentation activities with 20% integration, testing and verification support.
