We are currently seeking Editorial Board Members for The Open Agriculture Journal. The Open Agriculture Journal is an open access journal that publishes research articles, reviews/mini-reviews, and letters in all areas of agricultural science. Topics covered include agronomy; plant and animal breeding; genetics; agricultural biotechnology; crop physiology and agroecology; soil science and agroclimatology; agricultural economics and rural sociology; and sustainable systems. Agricultural biotechnology (including tissue culture, molecular markers, molecular diagnostics, vaccines, genetic engineering, genome editing, as well as synthetic biology) to modify living organisms: microorganisms, fungi, plants, and animals. About the Role: We are seeking experienced researchers and scientists to join us as Editorial Board Members for the journal, The Open Agriculture Journal. Responsibilities: Actively contribute to the development and growth of the journal by providing valuable scholarly input, including the selection of topics, reviewers, and authors. Contribute/solicit Special Thematic Issues on a trending topic (one thematic issue every year). Review articles submitted to the journal (at least thrice a year) in your area of expertise. Qualifications: Scientist or researcher (PhD) with experience in agricultural science. At least 5 years of experience in peer-reviewing, editing, and writing research papers. Verifiable record of publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in WOS Core Collection and/or Scopus. Ability to communicate clearly and timely with stakeholders in the English language. Required Skills: Experience in agricultural science. Peer-reviewing and editing skills. Strong communication skills in English. Preferred Skills: Experience with thematic issues in agricultural research. Networking skills with professionals and scholars. Pay range and compensation package: Save APCs on publishing your research. As an Editorial Board Member, you will be entitled to publish your papers and thematic issues, free of cost. Core Responsibilities
Contribute scholarly input to the journal’s development, including selecting topics, reviewers, and authors, and soliciting one special thematic issue each year. Review submitted articles in your area of expertise at least three times annually.
Requirements
Applicants must be a scientist or researcher with a PhD and experience in agricultural science. They must have at least five years of experience in peer reviewing, editing, and writing research papers, a verifiable publication record in journals indexed by Web of Science Core Collection and/or Scopus, and clear, timely English communication skills.
