Test and debug your software on the TreeScout hardware itself, in our workshop and in the orchard. Write well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to sound engineering practices. Take ownership of software reliability and troubleshoot technical issues. Share knowledge and help other engineers grow. Support customers outside regular office hours when needed. What you bring At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience. Experience with at least one of the following: Embedded software and edge computing (NVIDIA Jetson) Backend development (Python) (Embedded) Linux, containers, Kubernetes and networking A solid understanding of software testing and a test-driven development mindset. A practical, problem-solving attitude and a focus on writing reliable, maintainable code. You enjoy working hands-on with physical hardware: connecting cameras and sensors, swapping components and figuring out why something works on your laptop but not on the tractor. Enjoyment of teamwork, technical challenges and learning new technologies. Willingness to work in a startup environment where real-world conditions and seasonal demands sometimes require flexibility. Working at Aurea You’ll work from our Utrecht office at least three days per week. We believe in the value of working together, sharing ideas and building strong team connections. Fresh fruit, lunch facilities and unlimited access to the fitness center at Werkspoor Campus. A diverse, international team with colleagues from many different backgrounds. Why Aurea Imaging? Work with a unique global dataset built up over multiple years. Develop solutions that directly impact fruit growers worldwide. Have the freedom to explore new ideas while building products that create real customer value. Join a growing team with short communication lines and a strong ownership culture. Interested? If you’re a hands-on engineer who cares about software quality, reliability and solving real-world problems, we’d love to hear from you.
