INTERIM OPPORTUNITY BISSELL is a leading producer of high-quality vacuums and other innovative surface cleaning solutions like steam cleaners and wet dry vacuums. This 150-year-old American family-owned company prides itself on offering premium cleaning products that make cleaning quicker and easier, leaving its customers with more free time to enjoy life without having to worry about the mess. BISSELL is currently recruiting for a Market Activation Manager. The role will cover maternity leave and starting date will be December 2026 until June 2027. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 to 24 hours per week, with the exact schedule open to negotiation. The Market Activation Manager (interim) is a ‘hands on’ downstream marketing lead within the UK & Nordics Cluster organisation. This role is responsible for translating Regional Category strategy into best-in-class in-market execution across customers and channels. Operating as a commercially embedded generalist marketeer, the role partners closely with the Cluster Lead and Sales team to drive trade marketing excellence, optimise assortment and portfolio execution, and deliver high-impact promotional and activation plans. The Market Activation Manager ensures that strategic intent is converted into tangible commercial outcomes — driving visibility, distribution, sell-out and profitable growth within the Cluster. You will lead product launches and ensure flawless, consistent physical and digital point-of-sale execution in line with global design guidelines Assortment & Portfolio Ownership: Own the cluster-level view of product ranges and SKU prioritization. You will adapt the portfolio strategy to match local customer and competitive dynamics, and manage the full product lifecycle from introduction to rationalization Promotional & Trade Marketing Leadership: Develop and manage the cluster promotional calendar, aligning mechanics with commercial objectives. Partnering with Sales, you will optimize trade spend effectiveness (ROI) and ensure pricing and promotions support the broader business strategy Commercial Partnership & Engagement: Act as the dedicated marketing counterpart to the Sales Lead. You will support customer sell-in conversations with robust category insights, co-develop tailored activation plans for key accounts, and provide marketing input for demand forecasting and S&OP Market Insight & Feedback Loop: Serve as the "voice of the cluster" to the Regional Category Marketing team. You will share structured feedback on launches and competitor dynamics, resolve execution gaps, and highlight emerging market opportunities or range gaps to inform future product development Cross-Functional Coordination: Align execution timelines across Supply Chain, Finance, and Regional Marketing. You will ensure marketing assets are localized effectively, maintain disciplined project tracking, and drive internal product training to ensure commercial readiness What we require Availability of 20-24 hours weekly for ideally 6/7 months 5 years+ experience in Marketing, Trade Marketing or Commercial roles Experience within FMCG, consumer durables or similar fast-paced environments Demonstrated success in delivering in-market execution and activation plans Proven ability to partner effectively with Sales teams and Regional functions Ability to operate effectively within a matrix (Global / Regional / Cluster) environment Data-informed decision-making

About BISSELL Homecare, Inc.
Industry: Manufacturing
Company size: 1,001-5,000 employees
We may be a company full of neat freaks. And that’s fine with us. Because here at BISSELL, we’ve spent 150 years finding ways to make your home a clean place. We work on not sweating the small stuff – the spilled cereal, the muddy puppy prints, or that overturned glass of wine. BISSELL has always been a family-owned business, so we know all the quirks (and maybe a few hard-to-reach dust bunnies) of a house that is home to a family. We know the peace of mind that comes with having a clean home for those you hold closest to your heart, whether they have two legs or four. That’s why we have a complete collection of innovative products at your disposal—from vacuums to carpet deep cleaners, cleaning solutions we’ve formulated ourselves specifically for the real messes we all make to pet hair removal products. Each product is designed to help you take care of your favorite spaces and the surfaces in them. After all, what’s the point of having a floor, or a sofa, or a carpet if you can’t play on it? Being a leader in the North American floor care industry, we have a longtime commitment to sustainability and how we stay active in our community. Cleaning up messes big and small, near and far, has always been part of our history, and we’re proud of that. Because if letting life in means embracing a few messes now and then, we’ll keep making products that make them as easy as ever to clean up.
