Job Description

You will own end-to-end delivery of OT software projects for European utilities — from contract handover to formal close. You will be accountable for scope, schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction. You will work with senior engineers, customer executives and our sales team, and lead multicultural teams in a matrix organisation. Beyond your own projects, you will help strengthen our European delivery model. What you'll do Plan and deliver Build and run project plans aligned to contractual commitments, with clear milestones for delivery, invoicing and resourcing. Manage risks and issues proactively, with mitigation plans tailored to each project. Set and enforce quality standards through regular project reviews. Lead formal project closure: final reviews, lessons learned and a clean handover to support. Own the numbers Manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, including revenue recognition and milestone billing. Control costs and allocate resources to protect margin. Spot change requests and follow-on opportunities, and work with sales to pursue them. Lead people and stakeholders Lead and mentor multicultural project teams across a matrix organisation. Build trusted relationships with customer sponsors and internal stakeholders. Report progress, risks and decisions clearly to executives and sponsors. Use customer feedback and survey results to raise satisfaction. Improve how we deliver Help define and embed the European delivery model and governance standards. Remove bottlenecks and share lessons learned across projects. Support pre-sales with proposal, deal and contract reviews, focusing on scope, risk and commercial terms. What you bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field. 8+ years managing complex, large-scale projects, ideally software or systems delivery in the power utilities sector. Solid knowledge of at least two of: generation, transmission, distribution. A track record of full P&L accountability for customer projects: budgets, forecasts, milestone billing and change control. Experience leading multicultural technical teams in a matrix organisation. Confidence with both senior engineers and customer executives; you handle conflict calmly and negotiate well. Strong commercial sense and structured problem-solving. Fluent English, spoken and written. Willingness to travel across Europe 25–75% of the time, depending on project phase. Nice to have Master's degree in a relevant field. PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA certification. Hands-on experience with EMS, SCADA, ADMS or similar control-room systems. Dutch or German; another European language is also valued.

Core Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of OT software projects for European utilities, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, resources, and customer satisfaction through formal project closure. Lead multicultural matrix teams, manage project financials and commercial opportunities, support pre-sales reviews, and help improve European delivery governance and practices.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 8+ years managing complex projects, ideally software or systems delivery in the power utilities sector. Candidates should have full project P&L accountability, knowledge of at least two power-sector areas, matrix-team leadership experience, fluent English, and willingness to travel across Europe; a relevant master's degree, project management certification, control-room systems experience, and additional European languages are preferred.
