Restaurant Mont Blanc is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team in Amsterdam. Inspired by the French Alps, Restaurant Mont Blanc offers a refined gastronomic experience where seasonal ingredients, creativity and precision come together. Our wine philosophy is deeply rooted in the Savoie and Jura regions, showcasing distinctive winemakers, exceptional terroirs and carefully selected bottles from beyond the Alps. We are a small, dedicated team where hospitality, attention to detail and genuine passion for food and wine are at the heart of everything we do. Your role Guide our guests through their gastronomic journey with warm, professional and personal service. Create thoughtful wine pairings that complement our tasting menus. Share your knowledge and passion for wines, particularly from Savoie, Jura and other French wine regions. Manage and develop our wine cellar, inventory and wine list. Work closely with our chef and service team to create a seamless dining experience. Contribute to the continuous development of our wine programme. Who are we looking for? Previous experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining or gastronomic restaurant. Strong wine knowledge and genuine curiosity for lesser-known regions and producers. Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is a plus. A warm, confident and attentive approach to hospitality. Someone who is independent, organised and comfortable working in a small team. A team player with ambition, creativity and an eye for detail. Core Responsibilities

Guide guests through their dining experience with attentive service, recommend wines, and create pairings for tasting menus. Manage and develop the wine cellar, inventory, wine list, and wine program in collaboration with the chef and service team.

Requirements

Candidates should have previous sommelier experience in a fine-dining or gastronomic restaurant, strong wine knowledge, and curiosity about lesser-known regions and producers. Excellent English communication, a warm and attentive approach, independence, organization, and the ability to work well in a small team are expected; French or Dutch is a plus.
