Working closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Conference & Events, Reservations, Rooms, Food & Beverage, and hotel operations teams, you will help drive revenue growth while cultivating long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will serve as a key commercial leader for the Groups and MICE segment and act as a trusted deputy within the department. You will contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional commercial results while preserving the distinctive character and reputation of Rosewood Amsterdam. YOUR ROLE As Senior Sales Manager – MICE, you will lead the Groups segment for Rosewood Amsterdam, driving profitable business from corporate clients, meeting and event agencies, destination management companies, and other key intermediaries. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing high-value client relationships, and identifying opportunities that strengthen revenue performance and market share. As a senior member of the commercial team, you will provide guidance and support to the Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, and Sales Intern, while directly managing the Sales Intern. In the absence of the Director of Sales, you will assume leadership of the Sales department, maintaining momentum on priorities and acting as the first point of escalation. Through your commercial acumen, leadership capabilities, and passion for luxury hospitality, you will represent Rosewood Amsterdam across local and international markets and ensure every client interaction reflects the exceptional service, professionalism, and attention to detail synonymous with the Rosewood brand. HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE Lead and grow the Groups and MICE segment, driving profitable business from assigned domestic and international markets. Develop and execute annual sales strategies and account plans aligned with budget objectives, commercial priorities, and hotel need periods. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, meeting and event agencies, destination management companies, and other key group business producers. Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities while growing existing accounts to maximize revenue and long-term account value. Conduct impactful site inspections, client presentations, familiarization trips, sales calls, and commercial negotiations. Partner closely with Revenue Management, Reservations, Events, Food & Beverage, Rooms, and Finance teams to ensure commercially sound proposals and seamless operational handovers. Monitor pipeline activity, production performance, conversion trends, and market intelligence to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions where required. Represent Rosewood Amsterdam at industry events, trade shows, sales missions, networking opportunities, and client engagements. Provide coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day support to colleagues within the Sales team, fostering development and accountability. Lead the Sales department in the absence of the Director of Sales, maintaining departmental priorities and supporting business continuity. Own monthly reporting for the Groups segment and contribute valuable insights to forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning activities. COULD THIS BE YOU? You have significant experience in luxury hotel sales with a strong track record in Groups and MICE business development, account management, and conversion. You are a confident commercial professional with a deep understanding of group pricing, revenue optimization, forecasting, and account strategy. You have established relationships within corporate, MICE, agency, and intermediary markets and enjoy developing new business opportunities globally. You are an exceptional communicator and relationship builder with outstanding presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills. You have experience mentoring or leading colleagues and can confidently guide a team while maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach. You are highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You possess strong commercial judgment and thrive in a fast-paced environment where proactive decision-making is valued. You are proficient in hotel sales systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and performance reporting tools. You are fluent in English; additional languages are considered an advantage. This includes flexible working hours, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations.
