Functieomschrijving
Wij zijn op zoek naar een Senior Backend Developer voor een DevOps-team binnen een complexe technische omgeving. In deze rol ben je betrokken bij het volledige softwareontwikkelproces, van ontwerp en implementatie tot deployment, monitoring en beheer. Daarnaast denk je mee over architectuurvraagstukken en draag je actief bij aan verbeteringen en innovaties binnen het team.
Verantwoordelijkheden:
- Ontwerpen en implementeren van oplossingen binnen gedistribueerde systemen.
- Ontwikkelen en onderhouden van backend services en microservices.
- Vertalen van user stories en non-functional requirements naar technische implementaties.
- Meedenken over architectuur en technische oplossingsrichtingen.
- Werken volgens DevOps-principes, inclusief bouwen, testen, deployen en monitoren van services.
- Samen met het team verantwoordelijkheid dragen voor het tijdig en kwalitatief opleveren van functionaliteit.
- Actief bijdragen aan verbeteringen, innovaties en kennisdeling binnen het team.
- Samenwerken met stakeholders en andere teams om oplossingen succesvol te realiseren.
- Ondersteunen van operationele werkzaamheden en bijdragen aan een gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid voor beheer en onderhoud.
Functie-eisen
- Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als developer.
- Hbo- of wo-werk- en denkniveau.
- Ervaring met Java 17 of nieuwer.
- Ervaring met relationele databases en query-optimalisatie.
- Ervaring met event-driven architectuur en concepten zoals eventual consistency.
- Ervaring met Spring Boot.
- Ervaring met OpenShift (Kubernetes).
- Ervaring met Jenkins of andere CI/CD-tooling.
- Ruime ervaring met DevOps, zowel qua mindset als tooling.
- Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal.
- Je bent in staat om user stories en non-functional requirements te vertalen naar technische oplossingen.
- Je denkt mee over architectuurvraagstukken en technische ontwerpkeuzes.
- Je bent analytisch sterk en beschikt over een goed abstractievermogen.
- Je kunt complexe materie helder uitleggen.
- Je bent leergierig en brengt graag nieuwe ideeën en technieken in.
- Je beschikt over goede communicatievaardigheden.
- Je werkt zowel zelfstandig als effectief samen binnen een team.
- Je hebt een sterke focus op kwaliteit en neemt eigenaarschap over je werk.

Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including designing, implementing, deploying, and monitoring backend services within a DevOps team. Additionally, you will contribute to architectural decisions and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a developer with proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot, and DevOps practices. A higher education degree (HBO/WO) is required, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate requirements into technical implementations.
