You help keep things moving for our customers, while we work together to reduce our environmental impact and drive smarter, greener operations. The role As operational buyer, you are the key link between our suppliers, internal stakeholders and operations teams. You make sure materials and services are available on time and at the right cost. You work in a dynamic, international environment where innovation, sustainability and high ethical standards are part of everyday decision-making. Your work is a mix of hands-on purchasing, supplier communication and continuous improvement. You report to the purchase manager. You manage day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned materials and services. You place and follow up purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and availability. You monitor stock levels and optimise inventory together with planning and logistics. You handle supplier confirmations, delivery issues and deviations in a proactive way. You work with internal teams on demand forecasts, priorities and process improvements, and support cost-saving and sustainability initiatives within the supply chain. Your profile You are curious, solution-focused and not afraid to ask questions to keep things running smoothly. You like structure, but you can also handle the occasional surprise that comes with operational purchasing. Most importantly, you are a team player who values respectful collaboration and clear communication. You work in a proactive, organised way and are always willing to keep learning. You have experience in an operational purchasing, supply chain, logistics or similar role. You have a good understanding of purchasing processes and ERP systems. You have strong communication skills and are comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy working with data, follow procedures and pay attention to detail. You have a good level of English; Dutch is a plus for local communication. Our offer Nefab is growing and invests in people. De functie Als operational buyer ben je de verbindende schakel tussen onze leveranciers, interne stakeholders en operations. Je zorgt dat materialen en diensten op tijd en tegen de juiste prijs beschikbaar zijn. Je werkt in een dynamische, internationale omgeving waarin innovatie, duurzaamheid en hoge ethische normen onderdeel zijn van de dagelijkse beslissingen. Je werk is een mix van praktisch inkopen, contact met leveranciers en continu verbeteren. Je rapporteert aan de purchase manager. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse inkoop van toegewezen materialen en diensten. Je plaatst inkooporders en volgt ze op, zodat alles op tijd geleverd en beschikbaar is. Je bewaakt voorraadniveaus en optimaliseert de voorraad samen met planning en logistiek. Je handelt orderbevestigingen, leverproblemen en afwijkingen proactief af met leveranciers. Je werkt samen met interne teams aan forecasts, prioriteiten en procesverbeteringen, en ondersteunt kostenbesparende en duurzame initiatieven in de supply chain. Jouw profiel Je bent nieuwsgierig, oplossingsgericht en stelt gerust vragen om alles soepel te laten verlopen. Je houdt van structuur, maar kunt ook goed omgaan met de onverwachte situaties die bij operationele inkoop horen. Bovenal ben je een teamspeler die waarde hecht aan respectvolle samenwerking en heldere communicatie. Je werkt proactief en georganiseerd, en je blijft graag leren. Je hebt ervaring in operationele inkoop, supply chain, logistiek of een vergelijkbare functie. Je hebt een goed begrip van inkoopprocessen en ERP-systemen. Je communiceert sterk en voelt je op je gemak in contact met interne en externe stakeholders. Je werkt graag met data, volgt procedures en hebt oog voor detail. Core Responsibilities

Manage daily purchasing for assigned materials and services, place and follow up on purchase orders, and address supplier confirmations, delivery issues, and deviations. Monitor and optimize inventory with planning and logistics teams, coordinate forecasts and priorities with internal stakeholders, and support supply chain process improvements, cost savings, and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience in operational purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or a similar role, along with a good understanding of purchasing processes and ERP systems. Strong communication, data-handling, organizational, and problem-solving skills are expected; good English is required, while Dutch is an advantage.
