Role description: Provides strategic procurement leadership for regional projects, shaping sourcing, subcontracting and contract management approaches. Partners with delivery leaders to create commercial value, manage supply-chain risk and improve supplier performance. Role accountabilities: Act as the primary procurement partner for project teams and regional stakeholders. Develop project sourcing and subcontracting strategies aligned with client and commercial requirements. Lead complex negotiations and oversee contract variations, claims and close-out. Shape make-or-buy, sourcing and commercial decisions using cost and market insights. Drive value, margin improvement and risk-reduction initiatives, including support for bids and pursuits. Build strategic supplier relationships and oversee performance across cost, schedule, quality, safety and contractual obligations. Work with Service leadership to encourage early procurement involvement and align projects with category strategies and procurement frameworks. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Risk, Sustainability and operational teams. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably within complex, project-based environments. Significant experience in direct/project procurement, strategic sourcing, subcontracting and contract management. Proven experience leading complex sourcing strategies, negotiations and contract delivery. Expert knowledge of project procurement, subcontracting, contract lifecycle, commercial risk and supplier performance. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify cost, value and risk-reduction opportunities. Strong stakeholder and supplier management capabilities, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. Ability to provide strategic procurement leadership and effectively partner with project and regional leadership. Why Arcadis? Lead regional project procurement by developing sourcing and subcontracting strategies, negotiating complex contracts, and managing variations, claims, and close-out. Partner with project and regional leaders to improve commercial value, reduce supply-chain risk, strengthen supplier performance, and align procurement with category strategies and business frameworks.
Requirements
Requires at least 10 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in complex, project-based environments, with substantial expertise in direct procurement, strategic sourcing, subcontracting, and contract management. Candidates should demonstrate strong commercial judgment, negotiation and supplier-management capabilities, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic procurement leadership.
