About The Role As a Software Engineer specializing in Laravel, you will play a pivotal role in building web applications that form the core of our intelligent energy network. Your work will directly influence how customers transition to green energy and improve operational efficiency within the company. You will develop scalable Laravel applications and new features that are immediately deployed and used by hundreds of users. Collaborating closely with teams such as Sales, Installations, and Support, you will translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining high technical standards by writing clean, well-tested code, conducting code reviews, and proactively addressing technical debt. Utilizing modern tools including Laravel, GitHub Actions, Grafana, and Sentry, you will ensure the stability and performance of our applications. This role offers a fast-paced environment with short communication lines, providing you with the autonomy to make impactful decisions while contributing to a sustainable future. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Laravel and PHP. Proven track record in building multiple web applications using Laravel. Experience with or affinity for AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI assistants. Strong ability to write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code. Understanding of limiting and managing technical debt. Excellent collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge within the team. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and stay updated with emerging technologies. Proficiency in the Dutch language is required. Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable Laravel applications that support our smart energy network. Build and deploy new features that have direct impact on customers and internal users. Collaborate closely with Sales, Installations, and Support teams to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions. Write clean, readable, and well-tested code adhering to the Definition of Done. Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Identify and proactively address technical debt to maintain a stable and high-quality codebase. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Monitor application performance using tools like Grafana and troubleshoot issues with Sentry. Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices to improve development processes. Contribute to a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and participating in team initiatives such as hackathons and team lunches. Core Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable Laravel applications, delivering features for customers and internal users while collaborating with Sales, Installations, and Support. Maintain code quality through testing and reviews, manage technical debt, maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, and monitor application performance using Grafana and Sentry.

Requirements

Candidates need at least two years of PHP and Laravel experience, a track record of building multiple Laravel web applications, and the ability to write clean, tested, maintainable code. The role also requires Dutch proficiency, collaboration and knowledge-sharing skills, and an interest in AI-assisted development and continuous improvement.
