🚀 We’re Hiring | Senior ADF DevOps Engineer 📍 Location: Utrecht, Netherlands 💼 Job Type: Contract 🔹 Role Overview We are looking for a versatile Senior ADF DevOps Engineer / Azure Data Engineer to join a lean, agile team. This role combines Azure Data Engineering with DevOps and infrastructure responsibilities, requiring end-to-end ownership of Azure data platform components. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Azure-based data solutions Develop and support data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes Manage and administer Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, and Azure Storage Accounts Support DevOps and infrastructure activities for the data platform Implement CI/CD, deployment automation, and operational best practices Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance and reliability Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders in a small, cross-functional team 💡 Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) Solid experience with Azure SQL Database Experience managing Azure Storage Accounts and related Azure services Good understanding of Azure infrastructure and DevOps practices Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and environment management Ability to work independently across data engineering and DevOps/platform responsibilities Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills ⭐ Preferred Skills Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, and governance Experience working in small, agile, cross-functional teams

Core Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Azure data solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage, while administering Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Storage Accounts. Own DevOps and infrastructure activities for the data platform, including CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Requirements

Requires strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and solid experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure Storage Accounts, along with knowledge of Azure infrastructure and DevOps practices. Candidates should be able to work independently across data engineering and platform responsibilities; Azure DevOps Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud security, monitoring, and governance are preferred.
