Job Description

Company: SpotsBooking Experience: 9+ years Employment Type: Full-time Location: Remote (Europe) About SpotsBooking SpotsBooking is building a two-sided marketplace that connects wellness, fitness, and beauty businesses with customers looking for available appointments, classes, and experiences. The platform helps businesses fill empty appointment slots caused by cancellations or low demand, turning otherwise lost revenue into new business opportunities. At the same time, SpotsBooking enables customers who can no longer attend their booked appointments to resell or transfer eligible bookings to other users, creating a peer-to-peer marketplace inspired by platforms such as TicketSwap. By combining business-to-consumer bookings with customer-to-customer appointment resale, SpotsBooking aims to make wellness, fitness, and beauty services more accessible, flexible, and efficient. The Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager with 9+ years of experience to own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for SpotsBooking. You will lead the development and growth of our two-sided marketplace, working across business supply, consumer demand, appointment discovery, last-minute bookings, and peer-to-peer resale. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, and operations to deliver an intuitive, scalable, and commercially successful product. Your mission is to build a trusted marketplace that helps businesses maximize utilization, gives consumers greater flexibility, and drives sustainable growth for SpotsBooking. Key Responsibilities1. Product Strategy and Vision Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with SpotsBooking's business objectives. Identify opportunities across wellness, fitness, and beauty markets to solve customer problems and differentiate the platform. Translate customer insights, market research, and business requirements into a prioritized product roadmap. Balance short-term growth initiatives with long-term product scalability and competitive advantage. 2. Two-Sided Marketplace Growth Own the strategy for growing and balancing supply and demand across the marketplace. Develop solutions that help businesses publish available appointment slots and attract customers during low-demand periods. Improve appointment discovery through search, filtering, personalization, recommendations, and real-time availability. Address marketplace challenges, including cold starts, liquidity, customer acquisition, retention, and supply-demand imbalances. Drive improvements in booking conversion, repeat usage, and overall marketplace engagement. 3. Appointment Resale Marketplace Lead the development of a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows customers to resell or transfer eligible appointments they can no longer attend. Design seamless resale journeys covering listing creation, pricing, buyer discovery, payment, booking transfer, and transaction confirmation. Establish rules for resale eligibility, pricing restrictions, cancellation policies, and refunds. Develop safeguards against fraud, duplicate listings, double bookings, and transaction disputes. Collaborate with business partners to ensure resale transactions integrate with their booking policies and operational workflows. Explore opportunities to improve resale liquidity, transaction success, and user trust. 4. Product Discovery and User Experience Lead customer research, interviews, usability testing, and market analysis. Understand the needs of both business partners and consumers to identify high-impact product opportunities. Work with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, seamless, and accessible experiences. Identify friction across the customer journey, from discovery and booking to cancellation, resale, and attendance. Validate new concepts through prototypes, experiments, and customer feedback. 5. Product Execution and Delivery Translate product strategy into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones. Own product prioritization, backlog management, and roadmap execution. Work closely with engineering teams to balance customer value, technical feasibility, scalability, and speed. Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product improvements and new features. Take ownership of product outcomes, from initial discovery through launch and continuous optimization. 6. Data and Performance Optimization Define and monitor key product and marketplace performance indicators. Use analytics, A/B testing, and experimentation to improve the customer experience and business performance. Analyze booking funnels, conversion rates, cancellation patterns, resale activity, and repeat usage. Establish dashboards to track marketplace health and identify opportunities for growth. Make data-driven decisions to improve product performance and business outcomes. 7. Business Model and Monetization Collaborate with leadership to develop and optimize SpotsBooking's monetization strategy. Evaluate revenue models, including booking commissions, transaction fees, business subscriptions, and premium listings. Develop pricing strategies that create value for businesses, buyers, and sellers. Improve marketplace unit economics, customer lifetime value, and transaction frequency. Ensure monetization strategies support sustainable growth and long-term customer trust. 8. Cross-Functional Leadership Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, data, and operations teams to deliver product outcomes. Align stakeholders around product priorities, business goals, and delivery plans. Communicate product strategy, roadmap decisions, and performance to senior leadership. Build a culture of experimentation, customer-centricity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor product team members and contribute to building strong product management practices. Requirements 9+ years of experience in product management, preferably in consumer technology, digital marketplaces, e-commerce, booking platforms, or SaaS businesses. Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, and end-to-end product delivery. Strong understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics, including supply acquisition, demand generation, liquidity, and retention. Experience building or scaling consumer-facing digital products. Proven ability to translate complex business problems into scalable product solutions. Strong analytical skills, with experience using product analytics, experimentation, and performance metrics to guide decisions. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data, marketing, and commercial stakeholders. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong customer-centric mindset and a track record of delivering measurable business impact. Preferred Qualifications Experience with appointment booking, wellness, fitness, beauty, hospitality, travel, ticketing, or resale marketplaces. Experience building peer-to-peer transaction platforms or secondary marketplaces. Familiarity with payment systems, refunds, cancellations, booking integrations, and transaction security. Experience with marketplace pricing, incentives, promotions, and revenue optimization. Experience scaling an early-stage product or taking a marketplace from initial launch to product-market fit. Familiarity with tools such as GA4, Jira, and Figma. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Success in this role will be measured by the ability to improve marketplace performance and deliver measurable business outcomes, including: Marketplace liquidity: Percentage of available slots successfully booked. Booking conversion: Percentage of users who complete a booking after discovering an appointment. Business adoption: Number of active businesses and appointment slots listed. Revenue growth: Growth in gross merchandise value (GMV) and marketplace revenue. Resale performance: Number and percentage of eligible appointments successfully resold or transferred. Customer retention: Repeat booking rate and customer lifetime value. Business retention: Percentage of business partners who remain active on the platform. Customer satisfaction: Customer satisfaction, trust, and support-related metrics. Operational efficiency: Reduction in booking friction, failed transactions, and manual interventions. What We Offer The opportunity to shape and scale an innovative two-sided marketplace. Ownership of product strategy and meaningful influence over business direction. The opportunity to solve real-world problems for businesses and consumers. A collaborative environment with significant scope for experimentation and innovation. The opportunity to build a product at the intersection of wellness, fitness, beauty, and the sharing economy. Why Join SpotsBooking? At SpotsBooking, we believe unused appointment slots represent an opportunity rather than lost revenue. We are building a marketplace that helps businesses maximize capacity while giving consumers greater flexibility and access to services they love.
