Job Description

Do you enjoy working with machines, solving minor malfunctions yourself and delivering quality? For our site in Son, near Eindhoven, Nefab is looking for a machine operator for 32 to 40 hours per week. You operate our plotters and cutters, which cut cardboard, foam and other materials to the exact size. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and you want to keep developing in an international production environment. The role As a machine operator, you operate the plotters and cutters that cut cardboard, foam and other materials to size. This is the basis for the boxes and inserts that protect our customers' products. When something doesn't run as it should, you solve minor malfunctions yourself. Monitoring machines and plotters so they run stably and reliably. You are the go-to person and keep downtime to a minimum. Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance, and solving problems before they lead to disruptions. Recording malfunctions, fixes and improvements. Optimising processes with colleagues and suggesting technical improvements. Helping with standard working methods and checks around the use of the machines. Your profile You don't need any specific education or training. What you do need is technical insight and a willingness to learn new tasks, techniques and machines. You also have at least one year of experience with technical drawings, tools and/or machines in a production environment, and you speak basic English. What else are we looking for? You are practical and work accurately. You are reliable, on time and stick to working hours and breaks. You enjoy working in a team and feel responsible for quality and the team result. You are willing to work in two shifts (6:00–14:45 / 14:45–23:00) when it is busy. You receive an attractive allowance for this. You are allowed to work in the Netherlands: you have a valid passport or ID card, or a valid work permit. Our offer Nefab is growing fast. That is why we are looking for people who want to grow with us. The exact terms of employment and pay grade depend on the role, your experience and the production level. This is what you can expect from us: An attractive salary that you are happy with from day one. We discuss it in the first interview. A 13th-month salary payment, which you can also choose to receive in monthly instalments. 25 days of paid holiday, plus a day off after Ascension Day. A good pension scheme: Nefab pays two thirds of the pension contribution. You always start with a one-year contract. A travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometre. A team of 50 colleagues with a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Room to learn and grow into work with more technical complexity and independence. Opportunities to move on to production optimisation, planning or a team leader role. Ready to apply?
