Role Description The Pedagogisch Medewerker at Kinderopvang Peter Pan provides daily care and developmental support to children in a safe, stimulating environment. This full-time, on-site role in Capelle aan den IJssel includes planning and guiding age-appropriate activities, observing children’s development, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to organize the daily routine, maintaining a clean and secure childcare setting, and ensuring adherence to relevant childcare regulations and policies. The Pedagogisch Medewerker also communicates regularly with parents or guardians, shares updates on children’s progress, and participates in team meetings and professional development to continuously improve the quality of care. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Childcare and Working With Children, with a focus on safety, development, and well-being. Experience in Training and Social Services, supporting children’s educational and social needs. Ability to support or coordinate Event Planning for group activities, special days, and parent engagement events. Relevant pedagogical or childcare qualification (e.g., diploma in early childhood education or equivalent recognized in the Netherlands). Strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic childcare environment. Basic knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices, and health and safety standards. Proficiency in Dutch; additional language skills are an advantage.

Requirements

Applicants should have a relevant pedagogical or childcare qualification recognized in the Netherlands, knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and health and safety, and experience supporting children’s educational and social needs. Strong communication, teamwork, organization, reliability, and Dutch proficiency are required; additional languages are an advantage.
