Job Description

Careers Automation & GenAI Engineer Rotterdam + Den Haag·Full-time You've built AI prototypes. Now you want the harder part: making them reliable enough for real operations. At WARP, you'll work in small senior teams on digital products with real-world consequences. Your first challenge sits inside a complex, data-heavy programme where speed, care and good judgement all matter. You'll build and improve solutions around LLMs, connect them to existing systems through REST APIs and make sure what leaves your laptop actually works in production. You'll own backend work, pipelines and integrations, spot opportunities for smarter processes and turn them into practical steps. Just as important: you can explain what the technology does, why a decision was made and where its limits are — without hiding behind a wall of jargon. This is hands-on engineering in an environment with many stakeholders and little room for theatre. We have room for two people. About You At least one year of hands-on experience in a comparable AI or automation role Strong programming skills and practical experience with LLMs, backend development and REST integrations Comfortable working in complex, data-heavy environments A completed university master's degree Excellent spoken and written Dutch — this is a hard requirement Able to explain technical choices clearly to non-technical stakeholders Sensitive to context: you know that timing, alignment and trust can matter as much as the technically perfect answer Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Python, PyTorch, Keras, Azure OpenAI or Document Intelligence is a plus An improvement mindset: curious, pragmatic and never finished learning Perks A role at WARP with a substantial first challenge from day one Senior peers, high trust and real ownership Work where AI moves beyond slides and demos Hybrid working, with Rotterdam as your home base and Den Haag for this challenge Room to grow deeper, broader or in a completely unexpected direction Your skills GenAI LLMs Python REST APIs Azure Automation About Us We're a Rotterdam team of experienced engineers, designers and strategists. We build digital products and strategies for organisations where the work is real: ports, hospitals, supply chains, energy grids. Sometimes we bring the team, sometimes we join one where our expertise makes the difference. Either way, we stay close to the real work. Small teams, high stakes, honest conversations. If you'd rather prove things than present them, you'll fit right in.
