Our hotel features 106 rooms and a hostel area comprised of unique and innovative pods, where we host guests from all over the world. And not just guests from far away, but locals, too. Whether they're from another continent or right on our block, every guest’s experience at Bunk begins with our Front Office team. But they’re not stopped at the door by an imposing reception desk. Instead, guests can check themselves in, while our hosts are around to help them out, answer any questions they might have about Bunk, and point them to the best spots around the city. At Bunk, the role is a true combination: primarily as a host, you create a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests. In addition, you also support our restaurant by working as a server when needed, making it a dynamic and varied position within the team. About You First impressions matter, and you make the best of them. You’re not shy, you enthusiastically approach guests and make sure to wow them from the second they arrive. Your people skills are top notch: you know just how to make guests feel like the most important person in the world, whether you’re helping them out with something or just having a nice chat. You know the city like the back of your hand, you know all the best hotspots and hidden gems, so you always make the best recommendations. You work well with others, so you and your colleagues always have some fun creating great guest experiences. You’re good at multitasking too, so you can keep a cool head even when there’s a lot going on. Last but not least, you’ve never met a complaint you couldn’t handle. You love turning around every experience and always make sure guests leave happy. About Bunk Amsterdam We’ve converted Amsterdam Noord’s historical Sint Ritakerk into a buzzing hub for people from near and far alike. On a typical day, our restaurant (and terrace, in the summer) is filled with diners enjoying dishes featuring fresh seasonal produce prepared using traditional methods: smoked, pickled, marinated and stewed. Meanwhile, backpackers will be catching some good sleep on a budget in our pods, culture vultures capitalising on our free events, podcasters and producers recording the next big thing and curious travelers wandering through our halls, heading out on adventures before making their way back to their rooms. Core Responsibilities

Welcome guests, assist with self-check-in, answer questions about Bunk, and recommend local attractions to create a memorable guest experience. Support the restaurant by serving guests when needed and resolve complaints to help ensure guests leave satisfied.

Requirements

The candidate should be outgoing, welcoming, and skilled at making guests feel valued, with strong communication and teamwork abilities. They should know Amsterdam well, be able to multitask in a busy environment, and handle complaints effectively; no specific education or prior experience is stated.
