Pelican Rouge Coffee Roasters, part of Selecta Group, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Leader (m/f/d) to lead our end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and serving as a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across our 24/7 coffee roasting facility in the Netherlands. This is a highly visible leadership role with full accountability for roasting, grinding, blending, mixing, packaging, warehousing, dispatch, product development, and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in delivering operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, food compliance, and customer satisfaction. Your Responsibilities Lead all roasting, grinding, blending, mixing, packaging, warehousing, and dispatch operations Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while delivering plans on time and in full. Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction, and OEE optimization Own food safety, quality, HACCP compliance, traceability, and certified coffee standards. Manage operational budgets, headcount planning, and capital investment projects Lead product and packaging development initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Account Management Develop, coach, and strengthen the leadership team across production and shift operations. Collaborate closely with Procurement, Planning, Finance, People, and QESH teams to support business performance Your Profile Several years of senior operations leadership experience within coffee, food, beverage, or manufacturing environments Proven track record leading complex 24/7 multi-shift production operations Strong knowledge of food safety, quality management, HACCP, and traceability requirements Experience driving Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Strong financial acumen, including budget management, cost control, and capital investments Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills HBO/WO degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field Fluent in Dutch and English What We Offer A key leadership position reporting directly to the Managing Director Significant influence on the strategy and future growth of Pelican Rouge Coffee Roasters Ownership of a complex 24/7 manufacturing operation serving customers across Europe A dynamic and international environment with strong cross-functional collaboration Opportunities to drive innovation, operational excellence, and business transformation Competitive compensation package and attractive benefits Professional development and career growth opportunities within Selecta Unlimited coffee from our own roastery Ready to make an Impact? Lead end-to-end operations at a 24/7 coffee roasting facility, including production, warehousing, dispatch, product development, and packaging. Ensure safe, high-quality, compliant, and efficient operations while driving continuous improvement, cost and waste reduction, and team development.

Requirements

Requires several years of senior operations leadership in coffee, food, beverage, or manufacturing, including experience managing complex multi-shift production. Candidates should have strong food safety and HACCP knowledge, Lean improvement experience, financial and leadership skills, a relevant HBO/WO degree, and fluency in Dutch and English.
