Job Description
Internship | Hybrid | 32-40 Hours | €625 We’re looking for a People & Culture Intern to help Boltfish build a great employee experience as our team grows. If you enjoy working with people, organizing things, and finding ways to make processes work better, this could be a good fit. What you'll do You’ll work across different areas of People & Culture, supporting day-to-day HR operations while helping us improve how we work as Boltfish grows. You’ll work closely with our management team and colleagues, with an experienced HR advisor available for guidance on more specialized topics. Your supervisor is part of the management team, so you’ll have a direct view of how HR decisions are made and the opportunity to contribute your own ideas. Together, you’ll make sure our people processes run smoothly and that employees have the information, support, and tools they need throughout their time at Boltfish. You’ll contribute to activities across the employee lifecycle, including preparing for and joining evaluation meetings, conducting and reporting the bi-annual employee survey, managing the work email address, helping develop policies and processes, and working on other HR projects. What you bring Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, International Business, or a related field at a Dutch university (HBO or WO). Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail, especially when working with documentation and administrative tasks. Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus. A proactive mindset: you're comfortable asking questions, taking initiative, and following things through. The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for help. A practical mindset and the ability to turn ideas into concrete steps. Experience working in a small company or startup environment, or a strong interest in exploring an organization of this size. What we offer An internship with hands-on experience across different areas of People & Culture. Duration and start date are flexible. An internship allowance of €625 per month on a full-time basis. Flexibility in how and when you work. A hybrid working environment, with the opportunity to work 2-4 days from our office in Utrecht. Free lunch when working from our office. A small, collaborative team where you can have a real say in the work you do. The opportunity to take ownership of projects and see the impact of your work. Exposure to the challenges of building and maintaining people processes in a growing company. Why Boltfish? At Boltfish, we work on practical solutions for the energy transition. We combine energy expertise, technology, and execution to turn good ideas into things that actually work. We're a small team, so you'll work closely with the people shaping our projects and the company itself. There aren't five layers between you and the work that matters. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take responsibility, and see how your work helps the team. The same applies to People & Culture. As we grow, we're continuously developing how we work together, support our colleagues, and build a workplace where people can do their best work. As our intern, you'll be part of that process rather than simply observing it. Our way of working is built around three simple values: Push for Progress We keep asking questions, trying new things, and looking for better ways to solve problems. Own the Outcome We take ownership, follow things through, and care about the result. Share the Steps We share what we know, ask for help when needed, and learn from each other along the way. Interested? If the role sounds interesting, send us your CV and a short motivation. Questions? Hiring Manager — Jana Endemann Questions about the hiring process, the role, or the team.
