Job Description

About VaultN VaultN is building the games industry’s fastest-growing digital distribution platform, powering many of the world’s leading publishers. Our commercial infrastructure connects distribution, payments, marketing, and data- unifying a long-fragmented industry through technology, automation, and intelligence. Backed by global investors including Sony Innovation Fund and London Venture Partners, VaultN is at the stage where the people who join today will shape how games are sold and distributed worldwide for years to come. The next chapter needs real financial strength. You are joining not to maintain what exists, but to design and build the financial processes, structures and insights that will support what comes next. Role Overview In this role, you will own a variety of testing methods; manual, exploratory, and automated with a strong emphasis on automation, which is the team's biggest current gap. This is a foundational role: you'll be building QA automation practices and standards from the ground up, not maintaining an already-mature setup. Working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, you will design and maintain test automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and help extend the capabilities of ARTI, our AI testing agent. AI-driven ideas for how we test and assure quality are welcome and encouraged. You'll work alongside existing QA expertise on the team in manual and exploratory testing, helping build the standards, tooling, and automation coverage needed for VaultN to release frequently and confidently. Key Responsibilities: Strong programming skills in languages used for test automation (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript). Min. 5 years of solid experience in software manual testing and test automation. Hands-on experience creating web application tests using Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG/JUnit, and API testing using Rest-Assured, etc. Recent hands-on experience with test automation tools Cypress (JS) or Playwright (JS/TS). Knowledge of task tracking, error reporting, and project management tools; not limited to Jira, Jira Xray, TestRail. Strong API testing experience using tools such as Postman. Proficiency with Git and GitHub or similar version control systems. Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL skills. Good understanding of QA testing methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills. Ability to work in a team, responsible, and successful in human relationships. Detail-oriented, careful, and analytical thinking. Ability to maintain documentation discipline. English is a must for daily scrum meetings, reporting, and documentation. QA Key Objectives: Align the QA process with the team's 2-week sprint cadence within our Agile methodology. Build an AI-driven, scalable quality engineering capability that enables VaultN to release frequently and confidently without QA becoming a bottleneck. Design, develop, and maintain the test automation framework, and validate execution reliability. Write and execute test cases both manually and on the CI/CD pipeline, based on current and past sprint work completed by the development and QA teams. Develop and execute non-functional tests. Build and maintain test automation pipelines and infrastructure. Track errors occurring during tests through test management tools. Identify defects, report them clearly in the relevant tools, and track them to completion. Bring and build automation standards for the development team. Teach and expand ARTI's testing capabilities, growing what it can validate autonomously over time. Partner with the team's existing manual/exploratory QA expertise to raise overall automation maturity. Will be a plus: Experience in performance testing using JMeter, K6, or similar. Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, AWS, Azure DevOps) general DevOps knowledge. Prior use of DevOps/DORA metrics as a foundation for driving QA standards. ISTQB certification. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (nice to have, not required). Domain knowledge of high-transaction infrastructure and/or the gaming industry (not mandatory, but a strong plus). Why Join VaultN This role sits at the heart of how quality scales as VaultN grows. The automation, standards, and AI-driven testing capability you build will directly shape how confidently and how quickly we can release, how much developers can trust the pipeline, and how far ARTI can take on testing work on its own. You'll join a team where ownership is real, processes are still being built, and a good idea can become how we work next week. We're small enough that what you build will matter, and big enough that the testing challenge is genuinely interesting to solve. What We Offer Salary range €5,400 – €6,500 gross per month. Where you land in the range depends on the experience you bring and how directly applicable it is, in other words, how quickly you can be effective in the role. SARs (Stock Appreciation Rights) participation as an early team member, your upside grows with the business you help build. Hybrid working setup, flexibility on location, with regular time at our Amsterdam office. Working from office 4 days in a week. After first 3 months assign 2 extra work from home day per month. Room to grow. As VaultN scales, this role can develop towards broader QA or quality engineering leadership. How to Apply Send your CV and a short note on a testing or automation problem you've solved — a framework you built, a flaky test suite you stabilized, a pipeline you automated — to [[email protected]]. Our process: an intro call, a structured interview with our tech team, an invitation to the office for a final meeting with our CEO, CTO, and COO, and a practical exercise focused on AI-driven testing. We aim to come back to you within 48 hours of each step.

Core Responsibilities

Build and maintain test automation frameworks, pipelines, and standards, integrating reliable testing into CI/CD and the team's two-week Agile sprint cadence. Execute manual, exploratory, automated, and non-functional tests; track defects through resolution; and expand the capabilities of the AI testing agent ARTI in partnership with the existing QA team.

Requirements

Requires at least five years of software testing experience, strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript or TypeScript, and hands-on experience with web and API testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright, and Postman. Candidates should also have knowledge of QA methodologies, Git, SQL, test documentation and tracking, and strong analytical and communication skills; English is required for daily work.

Benefits

  • Stock Appreciation Rights
  • Hybrid Working
  • Flexible Location
  • Career Growth Opportunities
