Job Description
Job Description – Operations Supervisor (EMEA) Oct 2026 Hours: Part-time, 24 hrs per week Location: Remote, based in the Netherlands (Randstad area) Department: EMEA Operations Reports to: EMEA Operations Manager About AER Worldwide AER Worldwide is a global leader in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and electronics recycling, headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide secure, compliant, and sustainable solutions to some of the world's largest organizations, helping them manage the full lifecycle of their IT assets. With operations across North America, Europe, and Asia, we are committed to data security, environmental responsibility, and value recovery for our clients. The role The Operations Supervisor keeps AER's EMEA order flow running smoothly, from order entry to order closure. Working closely with the EMEA Operations Manager, you will manage orders, coordinate logistics partners, and support our network of ITAD and recycling subcontractors (subcons) across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This is a hands-on support role at the heart of EMEA Operations: you are the link between clients, transporters and subcons, and you back up the Operations Manager and the Client Success Team (CST) when needed. It suits someone who is highly organized, enjoys detailed administrative work, and wants to grow in the circular economy of technology. Key responsibilities Order entry and management • Create and enter new client orders (ITAD, recycling, decommissions, asset recovery) accurately in AER's systems. • Track every order from pickup to closure and keep its status up to date for clients, subcons, and internal teams. • Enter subcon processing data (sorting, data capture, teardown, testing) and all order-related costs into AER's systems. • Create and submit sales orders for resold material. • Follow up on open orders against turnaround targets (45 days) and close orders once complete. Logistics coordination • Schedule pickups and deliveries with logistics partners and transporters across EMEA. • Prepare and check shipping and waste-transport documentation, including cross-border requirements. • Track shipments and resolve delays, damages or discrepancies with transporters. • Review and validate transporter invoices against agreed quotes. Subcontractor (ITAD and recycler) coordination • Act as day-to-day contact for ITAD processing and recycling subcons by email, phone and messaging. • Provide subcons with order instructions and support them with questions on non-standard material. • Review subcon quotes before submitting them for approval. • Check subcon reports for accuracy by matching client-provided numbers and documentation with subcon results. • Verify subcon invoices and flag discrepancies. • Help train subcons on completing AER reports and support subcon onboarding and audits. Backup for the Operations Manager and Client Success Team • Cover day-to-day operational tasks for the EMEA Operations Manager during absences or peak periods. • Support the Client Success Team with client requests, order updates and reporting. • Escalate issues that cannot be solved in time to the Operations Manager or account owner. • Help keep procedures and work instructions up to date and suggest process improvements. Who you are Experience and skills • MBO/HBO level or equivalent professional experience. • 2+ years of experience in administration, order management, customer service or logistics coordination. • Experience working in an international business environment. • Fluent in English, written and spoken; Dutch is a strong plus, other European languages are a bonus. • Confident with ERP/CRM systems and Excel (or similar); quick to learn new software. • Experience with ITAD, electronics recycling, logistics or supply chain is a plus, not a must. Personal qualities • Highly organized, able to manage many orders and priorities at once. • Strong attention to detail: you spot the number that doesn't match. • Customer-oriented and a clear, friendly communicator across cultures and time zones. • Self-motivated and reliable working remotely and independently. • Eager to learn and take on new responsibilities. • A genuine passion for sustainability and circularity in technology. Practical requirements • Part-time, 24 hours per week, with some flexibility to cover peak periods or the Operations Manager's absence. • Remote, living in the Netherlands within reach of the Randstad. • Occasional travel within the Netherlands or Europe for subcon visits or projects. • Regular work hours that overlap with US Pacific Time work hours at least two days a week. What we offer • A meaningful role in a mission-driven company that keeps technology in use and out of landfill. • Hands-on exposure to international operations across EMEA, working with clients, logistics partners and recyclers. • Fully remote work with flexible hours within a 24 hour week. • Competitive salary and benefits in line with Dutch market practice (details to be confirmed). • Training and room to grow as EMEA Operations expands.
Core Responsibilities
Manage EMEA orders from entry through closure, including order tracking, processing data, costs, and sales orders. Coordinate logistics partners and ITAD/recycling subcontractors, validate documentation and invoices, and provide operational and client-success backup.
Requirements
Candidates should have MBO/HBO-level education or equivalent experience, at least two years in administration, order management, customer service, or logistics coordination, and experience in an international business environment. Fluent written and spoken English, strong organization and attention to detail, and confidence with ERP/CRM systems and Excel are required; Dutch and relevant ITAD, recycling, logistics, or supply-chain experience are advantages.
