Pelican Rouge Coffee Roasters, part of the Selecta Group, is looking for an experienced and proactive Planning Team Leader (m/f/d) to lead our planning function at our coffee roasting facility in the Netherlands. Reporting to the Planning & Client Experience Leader, you will be responsible for translating customer demand into an accurate forecast, transforming forecasts into production schedules, and ensuring products are delivered to customers on time and in full. Acting as the key link between Sales, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Client Experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our end-to-end supply chain. Your Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the Planning Team while establishing clear daily, weekly, and monthly planning routines Build and maintain accurate demand forecasts by customer and SKU in close collaboration with Sales and Account Managers Measure and improve forecast accuracy and bias while facilitating monthly consensus forecast reviews Coordinate and drive the monthly S&OP process, balancing customer demand with available production capacity Convert forecasts into master production schedules and detailed roasting, grinding, mixing, and packaging plans Optimize production sequencing to minimize changeovers while ensuring compliance with allergen, decaf, certified coffee, and quality requirements Define green coffee, ingredient, and packaging material requirements to support Procurement and supply continuity Manage inventory targets for green coffee, work-in-progress, and finished goods while minimizing obsolete and slow-moving stock Coordinate delivery planning, transportation bookings, and customer order fulfillment activities Manage planning changes, production disruptions, and supply shortages in collaboration with Operations and Procurement teams Maintain planning master data, including BOMs, routings, lead times, and pack formats within ERP and planning systems Monitor and report planning KPIs while driving continuous improvement initiatives across forecasting, scheduling, and planning processes Your Profile Several years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, or supply chain management within food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing Demonstrated experience across forecasting, S&OP, production scheduling, inventory planning, and delivery planning Experience leading, coaching, or developing a planning or supply chain team Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, including capacity planning, batch production, changeovers, allergens, and shelf-life management Excellent analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into practical planning solutions Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, MRP, or planning systems; MES/WMS experience is advantageous Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align priorities across Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service teams Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively in a dynamic environment HBO/WO degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certifications are considered an advantage Fluency in Dutch and English is required What We Offer A highly visible role at the heart of Pelican Rouge's supply chain and operations The opportunity to shape and further develop forecasting, planning, and S&OP processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment Close collaboration with senior stakeholders across Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Client Experience Exposure to an international organization operating across 16 European countries High levels of ownership, autonomy, and impact on operational performance and customer satisfaction Professional development and career growth opportunities within the Selecta Group Competitive compensation package and attractive benefits A collaborative culture focused on teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence Unlimited coffee from our own roastery Ready to make an impact? Core Responsibilities

Lead and develop the planning team, manage demand forecasts and the S&OP process, and translate forecasts into production schedules and material requirements. Coordinate inventory, delivery fulfillment, planning changes, master data, and KPI-driven improvements across the end-to-end supply chain.

Requirements

Requires several years of planning or supply chain experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing, including forecasting, S&OP, production scheduling, inventory, and delivery planning. Candidates should have team leadership experience, strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, advanced Excel and ERP/MRP experience, a relevant HBO/WO degree, and fluency in Dutch and English; APICS/CPIM or CSCP certification is advantageous.
