As our business grows internationally, we are strengthening the foundations of our finance function. The opportunity We are looking for a senior, hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of reliable financial control, month-end reporting and consolidation across our international operating entities. Substantiate balance sheet positions, review accounting entries, maintain the chart of accounts and support appropriate period-end controls. Prepare monthly management reporting and explain significant movements in revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, working capital and balance sheet positions. Coordinate financial reporting deliverables and deadlines with local external accountants and advisors, working closely with internal Finance colleagues. Contribute to consolidated annual accounts, statutory reporting and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation. Support accounting for equity movements, dividends and relevant cross-entity transactions in cooperation with the Finance Director and advisors. Develop practical accounting policies, close checklists, reconciliation standards and internal controls suitable for a growing international organization. Improve multi-entity, multi-currency reporting processes, including cost allocations and consistency of financial data. Contribute to finance-system implementations and migrations by defining accounting, control and reporting requirements, validating configurations and testing outputs. What you bring At least 8 years of relevant accounting and financial control experience, including substantial hands-on closing and reporting responsibility. Demonstrated experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment, including consolidation, intercompany accounting and reconciliations. An accounting qualification (such as ACA, ACCA or a local equivalent), or comparable expertise gained through experience. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems, financial data and reporting tools. Experience coordinating external audits and improving financial processes and controls. Excellent written and spoken English; Dutch, French or German is an advantage, not a requirement. A structured, accurate and proactive working style, with the ability to investigate issues independently and communicate findings clearly. Experience that would be an advantage Experience in a fast-growing international business, finance-system migration or ERP implementation, and/or a Big Four or listed-company environment. What success looks like Monthly financial reporting is accurate, well-supported and delivered to an agreed timetable across the group. Intercompany balances reconcile, consolidation adjustments are transparent, and key balance sheet accounts are substantiated. Management receives useful explanations of material financial movements and risks. Local accounting partners and internal colleagues follow consistent reporting requirements and close procedures. Financial controls and processes become more efficient and scalable as Amazic grows. Location and working environment Amazic has an office in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, and operates as a remote-first international organization. Working from home is possible within a CET-compatible time zone. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a growing business. Interested?
