Fleet Services builds and runs Agoda's Kubernetes platform: 160+ clusters, plus the platforms on top of it (GitOps, DNS, certificates, load balancing, identity, and etcd). The team sits in Bangkok, Singapore and Australia. This hire is Bangkok-based and starts in Q1 2027. In this role you will: Design, build, and operate platform software in Go on Kubernetes. Own a part of the platform through delivery and production: controllers, automation, and GitOps. Work with InfraOps and the teams who run on the platform, so changes are safe to roll out and easy to use. At Senior: lead the design of a component, mentor other engineers, and carry production ownership without day-to-day direction. What You'll Need to Succeed: Production software engineering experience. At Senior, you have owned a service or platform component through design, delivery, and production, and you design the solution, not only implement it. Go, or a similar systems language you can be productive in quickly. Practical Kubernetes in production: workloads, APIs, and how a cluster behaves when something breaks. Linux, and the habit of testing what you ship. Enough observability to tell whether a change is healthy: metrics, logs, and alerts. Clear written and spoken English, including design notes, reviews, and discussion with other teams. Comfortable using coding agents in day-to-day work, or able to pick that workflow up quickly. They do not replace judgment, code quality, or owning what you ship. It's Great if You Have: Kubernetes past being a cluster user: controllers, operators, or CRDs. Cluster API, ArgoCD, or other GitOps. Networking, DNS, certificates, or load balancing. Contributing to an open-source operator or controller. CI/CD for infrastructure. Core Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate Kubernetes platform software in Go, owning platform components such as controllers, automation, and GitOps through delivery and production. Lead component design, mentor engineers, maintain production ownership, and coordinate safe, usable platform changes with infrastructure operations and platform users.

Requirements

Candidates need production software engineering experience, practical Kubernetes and Linux knowledge, and the ability to design, deliver, and operate a service or platform component; Go or a similar systems language is required. They should test their work, use observability to assess changes, communicate clearly in English, and be comfortable adopting coding agents; experience with Kubernetes controllers, GitOps, networking, or infrastructure CI/CD is advantageous.
