New sovereign data & AI platform development - Databaas We're currently also building Databaas, our own sovereign data & AI platform. It is built on open source tooling and runs on any EU cloud. We want this platform to compete with Databricks and Snowflake, which are not available on EU clouds, and we need you to take it to the next level. More info about the product here: https://www.databaas.eu/ Role overview: what you will do Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for our clients and our own products Shape the platform architecture behind Databaas, our sovereign data platform, and help bring it to market as a SaaS product Work with Infrastructure as Code (we like terraform / OpenTofu) to keep environments reproducible and scalable Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters across diverse environments, from European cloud providers (Scaleway, OVH) to customer-managed clusters Collaborate with our data & AI engineers to make sure they have solid, reliable infrastructure to build on Occasionally work directly with clients to understand their infrastructure needs and translate them into solutions Be a key player in our growing, impact-driven organization Periodically pick up an on-call shift This role may be for you if You're passionate about using technology for positive change You have 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure role You're comfortable with containers and orchestration. Kubernetes and Docker are your bread and butter You have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI and ArgoCD You know your way around Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu, Terraform, or similar) You're cloud-agnostic at heart, comfortable working across different cloud providers, including European ones like Scaleway You enjoy automating things that shouldn't be manual You are proactive and not afraid to make decisions by yourself You are a good communicator and fluent in English Bonus points if you have experience with: Building or operating SaaS platforms Networking, security, and observability in cloud-native environments Open-source tooling and communities Data infrastructure (data pipelines, lakehouses) We know that confidence gaps and imposter syndrome can deter talented people from applying. Core Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes environments for clients and Wolk’s products, including its sovereign data and AI platform. Shape Databaas’s architecture for SaaS delivery, collaborate with data and AI engineers, support client infrastructure needs, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least four years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure, with hands-on skills in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure as Code. They should be comfortable across cloud providers, proactive and communicative, fluent in English, and already living in the Netherlands.
