Job Description

Sytac is hiring two specialists to join a global Development Services team supporting 300+ developers across 30+ product teams. This centralized platform team standardizes enterprise pipelines, cloud platforms, and security guardrails across the organization. We are recruiting for two distinct profiles: Track A: DevSecOps AI Specialist (architecture and execution) Track B: DevOps Migration Engineer (pure execution of the migration) 🛡️ Track A: DevSecOps AI Engineer (architecture and execution) Focus: Defending against emerging AI threat vectors (specifically responding to autonomous exploit models like Claude Mythos), evaluating enterprise AppSec tooling, and embedding robust security controls directly into GitLab CI/CD. Strategic AI Threat & Tooling Strategy: Assess application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, SBOM) for a complex financial environment; analyze how autonomous AI agents target infrastructure and select tools based on underlying security concepts, not just vendor hype. Pipeline Embedment & Governance: Implement chosen security tools natively into GitLab CI/CD pipelines across 30+ product teams. Requirements: Deep understanding of core AppSec concepts (why tools are used) paired with hands-on GitLab CI/CD pipeline implementation experience. ⚡ Track B: DevOps Engineer (pure execution of the migration) Focus: Joining an active team of 3–4 engineers to accelerate an established, well-defined pipeline migration off legacy systems onto GitLab CI/CD. Migration Execution: Migrate active product pipelines from Jenkins (plus Bitbucket / AWS CodeCommit) to GitLab CI/CD. Target Deployments: Deploy containerized workloads to Red Hat OpenShift and AWS (Kubernetes/Cloud). Requirements: Proven experience migrating pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab (mandatory); strong hands-on proficiency with GitLab, Jenkins, OpenShift, and AWS. Key Requirements: DevSecOps Track: Strong foundational AppSec concepts + practical GitLab CI/CD pipeline integration. DevOps Track: Direct hands-on experience migrating pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab. Core Tech Stack: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, OpenShift, AWS (Kubernetes/Cloud). Interview Process: 2 interviews that are both technical and situational (scheduled for 30th October and in the first week of November) How to Apply When submitting your application, please explicitly state your preferred target track: Track A (DevSecOps AI) or Track B (DevOps Migration). Requirements

The DevSecOps track requires a strong understanding of application security concepts and hands-on experience integrating tools into GitLab CI/CD.
