Job Description

Job Description Summary:

At The Coca‑Cola Company, we create moments of refreshment and connection enjoyed by millions worldwide. Every bottle and every system relies on a foundation of robust, seamless, and secure technology. As an Infrastructure Engineer based at The Blender, our modern manufacturing site in Rotterdam, you will bring this core technology to life—energizing production efficiency, enabling operational resilience, and supporting the innovative systems that keep our beverages flowing.

This role sits within an environment where technology meets manufacturing precision. You will focus on maintaining, optimizing, and evolving on‑site IT infrastructure to ensure uptime and continuity across production systems. Working closely with automation, engineering, and support teams, you will help bridge operational technology with modern IT standards, fostering collaboration and innovation at every level.

We are looking for an engineer who combines deep technical fluency with proactive problem‑solving. Someone who thrives in hands‑on environments and is motivated by improving systems that power everyday operations. Here, your contribution matters—your work sustains the infrastructure behind Coca‑Cola’s beverage excellence and supports a global network committed to smarter, faster, and more sustainable production.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Provide on‑site technical support for infrastructure at The Blender plant, ensuring system stability, security, and operational continuity across production environments.
  • Act as the internal infrastructure subject‑matter partner, connecting daily with plant‑floor engineers, automation teams, and enterprise technology stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimize IT systems including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and cloud integrations to prevent downtime and enable reliable performance.
  • Collaborate with operational technology (OT) leaders to align infrastructure with manufacturing needs and streamline digital workflows.
  • Lead tier‑3 incident responses for complex technical issues, driving accurate diagnosis and swift resolution to minimize plant impact.
  • Manage multi‑vendor relationships for local infrastructure projects and deployments, ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements.
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps that align local needs with broader company technology evolution and sustainability goals.
  • Execute deployment and change operations confidently while maintaining clear communication, documentation, and adherence to technical standards.
  • Identify opportunities for infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement, including automation collaboration that reduces system complexity.
  • Support initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity posture, network segmentation, and secure connectivity between IT and OT environments.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience in IT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in hands‑on infrastructure roles, ideally within manufacturing or operational technology environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration and VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, IP addressing, firewall configuration, switch management, and wireless connectivity; experience with OT network segmentation is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and administration of Microsoft cloud platforms.
  • Experience deploying and managing hybrid infrastructures across Azure and on‑premises environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in system troubleshooting and component isolation with structured documentation practices.
  • Ability to manage external vendors effectively and align deliverables with operational needs.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey technical topics in accessible language appropriate to a cross‑functional audience.
  • Digital fluency and awareness of how modern tools—including AI and automation—can enhance stability and efficiency in infrastructure operations.
  • Commitment to sustainable operations and alignment with Coca‑Cola’s focus on resilient, responsible technology solutions.

What We’ll Do for You

  • Enable you to work within a globally recognized manufacturing site where technology innovation directly strengthens product quality and production reliability.
  • Provide continuous learning opportunities in emerging infrastructure technologies, cloud architecture, and smart manufacturing integration.
  • Empower you to collaborate with advanced OT and automation professionals, enriching your experience in connected systems and modern plant technology.
  • Support your growth through exposure to infrastructure strategy across multiple sites, broadening your perspective on how local execution powers global success.
