Welcome to JYSK!
JYSK is a rapidly expanding retail chain with more than 3,000 stores in 50 countries. To support this growth logistically, the 10th distribution center is being built in Lelystad. Construction is in full swing, and we expect the distribution center to be operational by early 2027. But of course, that doesn’t mean we’re sitting still until then! Currently, a lot of work is being done in our temporary distribution center to ensure a smooth transition to the new facility.
Job Description
As Team Leader in the Operation Center, you have a clear responsibility: to ensure that operations deliver – every single day.
You lead the team in an operational environment where pace, structure, communication and decisiveness are essential. You ensure that the flow runs smoothly from Inbound to Loading and that the right priorities are set when circumstances change.
You work closely with the operation, make decisions in the moment and ensure that plans become reality. You report to the Department Manager.
Team Management & DC Operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team of operational employees
- Ensure a safe and positive working environment
- Work with the Department Manager on personal development plans
- Provide clear structure regarding tasks, responsibilities, and expectations
- Support the onboarding and training of new employees
- Coordinate staffing resources across departments
- Resolve ad hoc operational challenges

Qualifications
Who Are You?
We expect you to have:
- Experience in operational logistics or warehouse operations
- Experience in workforce planning and daily operational management
- Leadership experience
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
- SAP knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem-solving skills
- A data-driven mindset

Core Responsibilities
Lead and develop operational employees, maintain a safe and structured working environment, and coordinate staffing, onboarding, and training. Manage daily logistics from inbound through loading, set priorities, resolve operational challenges, and ensure plans are carried out.
Requirements
Candidates should have experience in operational logistics or warehouse operations, workforce planning, daily operations management, and leadership. Strong communication, SAP knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a data-driven mindset are expected; English is required and Dutch is a plus.
