As a trainee in the IT department you’ll be supervised by an experienced Data Scientist. He will coach you, show you the ropes, and provide insight into the tasks and responsibilities that come with the function of Data Scientist. Although you’ll be doing an internship in the IT department, you’ll be working closely with various other departments within REV’IT!. At REV’IT!, we’re always looking for interns for both internships and research projects. Tasks and responsibilities for interns are determined in consultation with the intern and are combined with routine work. In general, the routine work will entail the following: Building and maintaining data pipelines within Azure environments. Processing and analyzing data using Python for experimentation and modeling. Working with SQL to query, structure, and validate datasets. Exploring machine learning workflows, including training, validation, and evaluation. Applying pretrained models and experimenting with transfer learning techniques. Supporting the development of AI solutions such as NLP pipelines, computer vision models, or LLM-based use cases. Creating dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI. Investigating model performance and addressing challenges such as overfitting. Applying classical machine learning techniques like clustering, regression, and optimization. This is a hands-on role where your work contributes to ongoing projects, allowing you to experience how data-driven insights support decision-making across the organization. This is an internship position (40 hours per week, 32 hours negotiable). You will report to the Data Scientist. Are you our ideal candidate? This internship requires curiosity about how data can be translated into meaningful insights and practical solutions. It also requires an interest in exploring complexity, whether in datasets, models, or underlying questions. Additionally, it requires a willingness to challenge yourself, take ownership of your learning process, and continuously improve your work. We expect the following from you: You are currently enrolled in a relevant education, such as Data Science, Econometrics, or Artificial Intelligence. You have experience with Python for data analysis or modelling You are familiar with SQL and database concepts. You have basic knowledge of machine learning workflows and evaluation techniques. You have exposure to at least one AI domain such as NLP, computer vision, LLMs, or transformers. Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus. You understand or are curious about cloud environments like Azure. You are proactive, analytical, and not afraid to challenge assumptions. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in a relevant program, such as Data Science, Econometrics, or Artificial Intelligence, and have experience using Python for data analysis or modeling. They should be familiar with SQL, basic machine learning workflows, and at least one AI domain; knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow and interest in Azure are advantageous.
