Job Description

As a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering engineering solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability. You will apply your technical expertise in materials selection and corrosion engineering to support successful project execution and contribute to the organization's strategic objectives and long-term success. Responsibilities Engineering Design & Optimization: Select appropriate engineering methods and procedures, execute assigned activities, and optimize designs in accordance with project specifications, applicable international codes, industry standards, company requirements, and relevant regulations; Planning & Delivery: Proactively plan, coordinate, and complete engineering activities and deliverables within agreed schedules and budgets, ensuring effective management of system interfaces; Scope of Work Management: Ensure that all deliverables within your assigned Scope of Work comply with contractual obligations and internal requirements; Continuous Improvement: Apply relevant lessons learned and assess the impact of changes within and across project system boundaries; Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal standards; Package Engineering: Where assigned, take on the role of Package Engineer, assuming technical responsibility for the design, procurement, and manufacture of the package; Technical Leadership: Take increasing responsibility for leading and coordinating engineers within your assigned scope of work; Discipline Leadership: Where required, act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work, providing technical guidance and overseeing the successful execution of engineering activities. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in the following areas: Piping Materials: Knowledge of piping materials, specifications, and selection criteria; Materials & Corrosion: Expertise in materials engineering, corrosion mechanisms, corrosion prevention, and material selection; Engineering Design & Calculation Tools: Ability to use relevant engineering software and calculation tools; Concept Development: Experience in developing and evaluating engineering concepts; Detailed Design: Experience in detailed engineering design and technical documentation; Systems Engineering: Understanding of system interfaces and integration within complex engineering projects; Site Engineering: Ability to support engineering activities during project execution and on-site operations; Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate technical challenges and develop effective solutions; Planning: Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage engineering activities and deliverables to meet project schedules and budgets.

Core Responsibilities

Select and optimize materials and engineering designs to meet project specifications, codes, standards, regulations, and contractual requirements. Plan and deliver engineering work within schedule and budget, coordinate with stakeholders, and provide package or discipline leadership when assigned.

Requirements

The role calls for expertise in piping materials, materials engineering, corrosion mechanisms and prevention, and material selection. Candidates should also have experience with engineering tools, concept development, detailed design, systems integration, site support, technical analysis, and planning project deliverables.
