MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West Full-time We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (f/m/d) to join the maintenance team our MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West. MEININGER Hotels. Redefining hybrid hospitality. We run more than 36 hotels in Europe's best cities—and counting! YOUR TASKS You perform visual checks of communal areas and hotel grounds, execute exchange of wear and tear parts (light bulbs, mattresses, etc), basic repairs (furniture and bathroom equipment), small painting works, etc. You monitor and maintain utility areas and equipment You work closely with FM contractors and FM department to develop and xecute maintenance plans You are responsible for and keep stock of all maintenance inventory of supplies and equipment You respond to customer and management inquiries and requests and document them accordingly You are accountable for the interior and exterior cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel You’re flexible and understand that working in the Hotel industry occasionally can mean having to work during weekends, and on public holidays You have experience with preventive maintenance processes YOUR PROFILE You have technical background or education, relevant practical experience is a plus You enjoy helping people and getting things done You work efficiently and independently, organizing multiple projects, tasks and activities You enjoy diverse working environment and are flexible to work weekdays and weekends You are fluent in English and preferably in Dutch You possess Driver's license B What Meininger Offers Fair compensation according to the latest Collective Labor Agreement Pension gap package 25 holidays + 5 bonus days (1 for each year you stay with us) + 9 bank holiday Regular get-togethers, celebrations and occasional parties (winter and summer team events) Quarterly evaluation rounds to make sure you’re still happy Staff nights and Friends and Family discount Travel allowance of 0,23 EUR/km Growth and development opportunities as part of an internationally expanding organization Access to discount platform “BenefitsAtWork.” The occasional opportunity to travel to support new openings or exchange programs Open Up: Access 1:1 sessions with certified psychologists for MEININGER employees APPLICATION We are enthusiastic hosts as diverse as our guests. Core Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain hotel communal areas, grounds, utilities, and equipment; replace worn items and carry out basic repairs and small painting jobs. Coordinate maintenance plans with contractors and the facilities management department, manage maintenance supplies, and respond to and document requests.

Requirements

Candidates should have a technical background or education, with practical experience considered an advantage, and experience with preventive maintenance processes. They should work independently, organize multiple tasks, enjoy helping people, be flexible about weekday and weekend work, speak fluent English (Dutch preferred), and hold a Category B driver's license.
