Job Description

About the team

As a Logistics Team Leader for Receiving, you are responsible for the daily coordination of the receipt of goods and materials within the logistics department. You ensure that incoming goods are processed correctly, on time, and in accordance with established procedures, making them available to the internal organization.

About your future role

You will distribute and coordinate tasks within the team, monitor progress and quality, and foster effective collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers. In this role, you focus on the efficient organization of logistics processes, the achievement of agreed-upon performance targets, and the continuous improvement of operational methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing daily operations within the Receiving department.
  • Allocating tasks and providing support to team members in the execution of their duties.
  • Ensuring the accurate receipt, registration, inspection, and administrative processing of incoming goods.
  • Managing the proper handling of goods flows and maintaining reliable inventory records.
  • Utilizing ERP systems to record and track logistics transactions.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external parties regarding deliveries, discrepancies, and logistics bottlenecks.
  • Monitoring relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead times, delivery reliability, quality, and productivity.
  • Identifying disruptions and contributing to the resolution of operational issues.
  • Initiating and supporting improvement initiatives based on LEAN principles.
  • Contribute to a safe, orderly, and efficient work environment.

Why you are a great fit

You have gained some experience in a similar role. You have a practical mindset, work in a structured manner, and maintain a clear overview of daily operations. You communicate effectively, listen to others, and know how to set priorities when schedules or the flow of goods are under pressure.

You work independently within established processes and procedures, while recognizing when to seek coordination or support for more complex situations (skill level 2). You possess a proactive attitude, focus on collaboration, and contribute to a culture centered on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

What’s in it for you?

  • A challenging job in a great team within our high-tech, innovative work environment—with plenty of room for your own initiatives and ideas.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development within the organization, whether in technical, commercial, or international areas.
  • Valuable international collaborations with colleagues from 68 different countries.
  • A comfortable workspace in a modern setting, with a focus on flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
  • The ability to work when and where it suits you best, ensuring you can perform your role as effectively and efficiently as possible. At Thales, we embrace hybrid working—for instance, you might work from home two days a week, depending on your specific role.
  • A competitive salary, a suitable travel allowance, and the option to personalize your employment benefits annually—for example, by swapping vacation days for internet cost reimbursements, our bicycle scheme, corporate fitness, or relocation expenses.
  • 40 days of annual leave ( PTO ).
