Mid-Senior Backend Developer role in Amsterdam for a candidate with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree, joining an engineering team as a full contributor to design, build, test, maintain and improve Java based backend applications and services while applying software engineering fundamentals such as writing clear, maintainable and reusable code, following established design patterns, contributing to testing activities, understanding basic deployment processes and supporting production operations, with success depending on strong analytical thinking, effective communication, collaboration across technical and non technical stakeholders, a proactive attitude toward learning, growing ownership and accountability, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions that meet quality expectations; the position requires availability to start as soon as possible, follows a hybrid working model with two to three onsite days each week in Amsterdam, focuses primarily on Java and broader backend engineering technologies, and is aimed at an early career professional seeking to strengthen technical expertise, expand practical experience across the software development lifecycle, contribute to business critical systems, support continuous improvement initiatives, work with modern engineering practices, and build a strong foundation for long term career progression in backend software development, delivering value through dependable execution, continuous skill growth, attention to quality, adaptability to evolving project requirements, commitment to best practices, willingness to receive and apply feedback.
