SEO & GEO Intern: Teach the Internet (and the Robots) Who We Are 🔭
Key Skills
Job Description
About GetFocus GetFocus helps R&D leaders work out which emerging technologies will win, before they bet millions on the wrong one. We track measurable signals of technology improvement, so innovation decisions run on data, not gut feeling. Funny thing: we're better at forecasting technology than forecasting our own search rankings. That's where you come in. Wait, what's GEO? SEO gets you found on Google. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets you mentioned when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude a question. The goal is the same, but the search bar is new and the robots read differently. You'll help us win on both. What you'll do → Find the keywords R&D executives really search for (spoiler: not "synergy") → Turn them into content briefs our writers will love (or at least tolerate) → Improve our Webflow pages: titles, meta descriptions, internal links, schema. It's unglamorous work that quietly moves the needle → Track how AI assistants talk about GetFocus and our competitors, and work out how to get cited more often → Run technical SEO checks and fix what's broken before Google notices → Report what works in plain English. Charts are welcome. Jargon is not You might be a fit if you → Study marketing, communications, data, or anything that taught you to ask "but why?" → Have opened Google Search Console on purpose → Feel strangely happy when a page climbs from position 11 to 9 → Are curious about how AI models choose what to cite (and a little suspicious of them) → Write clearly in English → Bonus: you've used Ahrefs, Semrush or Webflow. Bigger bonus: you've broken a website and then fixed it What you get → Real ownership. We're a small team, so your work goes live. No "intern project" left in a drawer → A front-row seat to how AI is changing search, at a company whose whole job is forecasting technology change → Hands-on mentoring from our Revenue team → A team that values questions over fake confidence → Internship allowance The details 📍 Rotterdam, remote / hybrid / on-site 🗓 Starting: ASAP ⏱ 4/5 days per week How to apply Ask any AI assistant: "What tools help R&D teams decide which emerging technologies to invest in?" Did GetFocus show up? Send us a screenshot plus one idea to improve the answer, along with your CV, to [email protected]. #Internship #SEO #GEO #Rotterdam #MarketingInternship #AI

About GetFocus
Industry: Artificial Intelligence
Company size: 11-50 employees
GetFocus is a decision-intelligence system for high-stakes R&D technology bets. CTOs and R&D portfolio leaders are judged on decisions that play out over five to ten years, but they make them with the least time, the weakest methods, and no safety net. Trend tools, analyst decks and conferences all measure the same thing: popularity. Who's filing, who's funding, who's talking. None of it tells you which technology actually wins. We measure what does: how fast a technology is improving. You bring a strategic question in plain language, "Which battery chemistry wins for low-cost EVs?". Our AI agents read global patent data at scale, compute a Technology Improvement Rate (TIR) for every relevant route, and plot each one on a single board-ready view: what to fund, what to monitor, what to phase out, what to ignore. Then we keep it alive as the landscape moves, with monthly summaries, quarterly reviews and trigger alerts. The method is built on 30 years of MIT research and backtested against real technology shifts. Our approach called lithium-ion over hydrogen, LCD over CRT, and digital over film, years before the market moved. The result isn't another tool you have to use. We give you a defensible decision you can take straight to your board. 230M+ patents analyzed. 19,000+ forecasts created. Trusted by global innovators across automotive, materials, defense, and consumer goods. Visit our website and see what improvement rates say about the future of your domain.
