We push the boundaries of logistics with end-to-end storage and transport operations that add greater resilience, efficiency, and sustainability to supply chains on four continents. And we are growing rapidly. To support our rapid growth, we're constantly looking for talented people to join our team. Want to be a part of a dynamic, forward-thinking environment? Join us as Solution Support Specialist (Logistics Application). More information on NewCold can be found at www.newcold.com and our social media. About the role The Solution Support Specialist (Logistics Applications) at NewCold is responsible for providing support to users of our logistics software solutions. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and increasing satisfaction among users of our warehouses and their customers through effective problem solving and proactive communication. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of logistics, operations, and software. You will help warehouses around the world resolve both routine and complex issues while working closely with users, logistics specialists, software developers, and external partners. As such, you play an important role in ensuring the continuity of our logistics operations. This vacancy has become available because one of our colleagues has accepted a different role within NewCold. This creates an exciting opportunity for a new team member to join our experienced team and contribute to the support of our logistics applications on a global scale. What will you do? Incident and Problem Management You will act as the second line point of contact for our warehouses and users worldwide. You will analyze incidents, user questions, and recurring issues within our logistics applications and work toward sustainable solutions. The first line of support is provided by the key users at our sites, with whom you will work closely to resolve disruptions quickly and effectively. Your primary focus will be supporting our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), MLS and CORAX, complemented by other logistics applications such as Transport Management Systems (TMS), which are essential to the daily operations of our warehouses. Collaboration and Coordination You will work daily with key users in our warehouses, colleagues within our support team, in-house software developers, and occasionally external suppliers to resolve incidents and issues. In addition, you will collaborate closely with support colleagues across EMEA, North America, and APAC to support our warehouses worldwide. Effective handovers of incidents and ongoing work between regions are essential to ensuring continuity of service. You will monitor progress, coordinate activities, and know when situations require escalation. Communication You will proactively keep stakeholders, key users, and end users informed about the progress of incidents and issues through our Service Management tool. You will ensure expectations are managed effectively and communication remains clear and transparent for all parties involved. Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement You will document solutions and working methods within our knowledge base and contribute to the continuous improvement of our support processes. By identifying trends and recurring issues, you will help improve both our applications and the services we provide. A Strong Team Around You You will join an experienced and close-knit team that is ready to support you. We provide a structured onboarding program that helps you become familiar with our applications, processes, and operations, enabling you to gradually grow into an independent contributor within the team. What sets our team apart from many traditional support organizations is that our colleagues not only have expertise in applications and systems but also have strong backgrounds in logistics and warehouse operations. As a result, we understand the daily challenges faced by our users, speak the same language as the operation, and look beyond purely technical solutions. We understand the impact disruptions can have on warehouse operations and act based on the needs of our users and the logistics processes we support. Because of this background, we place significant emphasis on supporting and developing new colleagues. You will be guided by experienced team members who actively share their knowledge of both our systems and logistics processes. This ensures a positive and structured onboarding experience where you have the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and grow confidently in your new role. Who are we looking for? You have: A completed MBO, Bachelor's, or University degree Experience within logistics, operations, application support, or a similar environment is considered a strong advantage An affinity for logistics processes, warehousing, and supply chain operations Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or the willingness to develop this expertise. Knowledge of NewCold's WMS solutions, MLS and/or CORAX, is a distinct advantage but certainly not required Basic knowledge of Agile ways of working or experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of another European language is a plus) Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to both users and software developers Have you primarily gained your experience in an operational logistics role, for example as a key user, supervisor, planner, or application specialist within a warehouse environment? Do you enjoy analyzing and solving problems? If so, we strongly encourage you to apply, even if you do not meet every requirement listed above. We believe that curiosity, analytical thinking, and an affinity for logistics processes are just as important as specific system knowledge. Supported by the experience within our team and our structured onboarding approach, you will have every opportunity to further develop yourself in this role. In addition, you recognize yourself in the following competencies: Problem Analysis You enjoy understanding how things work and do not give up easily when faced with a problem. You analyze issues thoroughly, ask the right questions, and can identify the root cause of a problem. Resilience You remain calm and structured when pressure increases. You demonstrate perseverance, can manage changing priorities, and adapt easily in a dynamic environment. Customer and User Focus You can put yourself in the user's position and understand the impact issues can have on daily operations. You listen actively, show understanding for the user's situation, and ask the right questions to arrive at an appropriate solution. Users and customers remain at the center of everything you do. Collaboration You enjoy working with colleagues, key users, software developers, and external parties. You share knowledge, ask for help when needed, and actively contribute to a positive team environment. Ready for the next step? Are you interested in this vacancy and would like to apply? Please make sure your CV is submitted in English. Suitable candidates will be invited for an initial interview with the hiring manager, followed by a second interview with a broader group of NewCold team members. Why work for NewCold? With numerous new construction projects planned around the world, NewCold offers you the opportunity to join a young yet powerful company in the logistics services industry. We have both the ambition and the potential to become the market leader in modern, automated cold storage solutions, complemented by supply chain services such as transportation and distribution. In addition to an attractive compensation and benefits package, this role offers the opportunity to make an international impact within a rapidly growing organization. Can we welcome you as our new Solution Support Specialist (Logistics Applications) and help continue our successful growth?
