Do you want to help an entire organisation turn AI opportunities into solutions that deliver real business value, while still building those solutions yourself? As Senior AI Solution Specialist at Sunweb Group, you take the lead on our more complex AI initiatives. You turn ambiguous business challenges into working prototypes and scalable solutions, while helping shape how we use AI across the organisation. You’ll join our five-person Architecture team and work closely with the AI PMO, connecting business teams with architecture, product, engineering, data and security. This is a hands-on senior role. Seniority here means tackling more complex challenges, having greater autonomy and impact, and helping others grow. It doesn’t mean stepping away from the technology. You’ll still design, prototype and build. Location: Rotterdam (Hybrid – 50% in office) Start Date: December/ January Availability: Fulltime Your impact Lead complex AI discovery. Turn unclear, cross-functional or strategically important business challenges into concrete AI opportunities. Take them from problem definition and validation through to a working prototype. Build AI solutions. Design and develop agents, assistants and automated workflows that connect different departments, data sources and systems. Shape enterprise AI initiatives. Identify when an AI solution needs to move beyond experimentation into a business-critical or customer-facing product, and work with product and engineering teams to make that transition successful. Design for production. Define solution architecture, integrations and non-functional requirements, while considering scalability, security, supportability, cost and business value. Create reusable AI patterns. Develop approaches for grounding, identity, integration, monitoring and evaluation that can be reused across teams, and identify opportunities for shared AI capabilities. Coach and challenge others. Review solutions, share technical expertise and coach colleagues and business users. You’ll work closely with our AI Solution Specialist and help raise the quality of AI solutions across Sunweb Group. Strengthen responsible AI. Contribute to our AI framework and guardrails, promote responsible use of AI and help create visibility around our AI initiatives. Who You Are You’re curious, pragmatic and comfortable navigating ambiguity. You combine strong technical judgement with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You know the difference between an impressive AI demo and a solution that creates measurable business value. You enjoy working independently, bringing different perspectives together and sharing what you learn along the way. Most importantly, you still enjoy building things yourself. What You Bring Must-haves A proven track record of delivering complex AI, automation, integration, data or cloud solutions Strong solution design skills across applications, APIs, identity, data, integrations and cloud services Experience taking ambiguous business problems from discovery through prototyping, testing and solution design Experience defining architecture options, non-functional requirements and production readiness The ability to translate between business needs and technical possibilities Confidence working with business leaders, architects, product owners and engineers Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to review, challenge and coach others Nice-to-haves Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search and enterprise knowledge solutions Experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth, connectors and/or MCP Development or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C# or PowerShell Experience working with AI agents, assistants or orchestration workflows Experience in the travel or tourism industry Our technology Our AI and technology landscape includes Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Azure AI services, Microsoft Foundry, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Claude/Anthropic, MCP, Entra ID and Git. Candidates should be able to take ambiguous problems from discovery through prototyping and production planning, communicate across business and technical teams, and provide technical leadership and coaching.
