Title: (Junior) Data Engineer Hours: 32-40 hours Churned is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our product and data team. Do you have a up to a couple of years of experience and want to work in an innovative AI tech environment? Join us and help build the data infrastructure that powers our predictive and prescriptive AI engine. This role is based at our office in Amsterdam. This is what you like doing You will join the DevOps and Data Engineering team and take ownership of key parts of Churned’s data infrastructure. Your responsibilities include: Building and maintaining integrations with client systems, such as CRM, billing and marketing tools and data warehouses Developing and optimising our data platform and infrastructure Working closely with our Data Scientists to deploy models and keep them running reliably in production Structuring and modelling data for analytical and reporting needs Improving our in-house data processing platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Monitoring data quality and pipeline performance, and fixing issues when they come up You recognise yourself in this A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent experience) Around 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer or in a similar role Strong Python and SQL skills Hands-on experience with Git, Docker and REST APIs Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP Experience with Apache Spark is a plus Proactive, able to work independently and happy to take ownership Fluent in English Living in or near Amsterdam, within 30 minutes travel of our office at Amstel Station This is what you look for in a job Real impact at a fast-growing AI SaaS company, working with a strong team of Data Scientists and Engineers Guidance from experts, including our co-founder, a Professor in Data Science & Econometrics A competitive salary based on experience Room to grow your skills and responsibilities as the company scales Hybrid setup, at least 3 days a week at our office next to Amstel Station and the rest from home An inspiring, international and fun work environment Interested? Core Responsibilities

Build and maintain integrations with client systems, develop and optimize the data platform on Google Cloud Platform, and structure data for analytics and reporting. Work with Data Scientists to deploy and operate models in production, while monitoring data quality and pipeline performance and resolving issues.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field—or equivalent experience—is requested, along with around two years of relevant experience. Candidates should have strong Python and SQL skills, hands-on experience with Git, Docker, REST APIs, production data pipelines, and cloud platforms; GCP is preferred, while Spark experience is a plus.
