PRODUCT DEVELOPER Amsterdam - Fulltime - Onsite At OLAF, we create contemporary clothing with a distinctive point of view. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Developer to join our team in Amsterdam and help bring our collections to life. Working closely with our design team and suppliers, you’ll play an important role in turning creative ideas into beautifully executed products. From exploring fabrics and developing samples to perfecting fits and keeping an eye on costs, you’ll be involved throughout the product development journey. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines a passion for fashion with a practical, hands-on mindset and wants to grow their expertise in a fast-moving, ambitious brand. What you’ll do Bring designs to life. Partner with our design team to translate creative concepts and inspiration into products that reflect OLAF’s identity and resonate with our customers. Own the development journey. Coordinate the product development process from initial concept and sampling through to production, ensuring collections are delivered on time and to the right quality standards. Explore materials and suppliers. Research fabrics, trims and new materials, build strong supplier relationships, and support negotiations to achieve the best balance between quality, creativity and cost. Get the details right. Participate in fit sessions, review samples and assess garment construction, fit and finishing to ensure every product meets our standards. Understand the numbers. Work with product costs, margins and different cost components to help develop commercially successful products. Connect the dots. Collaborate with design and merchandising to keep everyone aligned and the development process running smoothly. Learn from the market. Follow trends, sales performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities and help shape future collections. What you bring A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Production, Fashion Management, Merchandising or a related field. At least three years of experience in product development within the fashion industry. A genuine passion for fashion, an eye for detail and a good understanding of fabrics, garment construction, fit and quality. Familiarity with product development, sourcing, costing and manufacturing processes. A commercial mindset and an understanding of how product decisions impact cost and margin. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with different teams and suppliers. A pro-active, solution oriented attitude. You take ownership, think ahead and enjoy figuring things out. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in fashion production, fashion management, merchandising, or a related field, and at least three years of fashion product development experience. Candidates should understand fabrics, garment construction, fit, quality, sourcing, costing, and manufacturing, and bring strong communication, organization, commercial judgment, and deadline-management skills.
