Job Description

Would you like to start or further develop your career in purchasing within an international environment? Are you analytical, digitally minded and eager to improve the way we work? Then this position within Saint-Gobain Sekurit AGR could be a great next step for you. As our new Purchasing Specialist, you will support the European Central Purchasing team in making smart, reliable and future-focused purchasing decisions. You will help us improve our purchasing categories by providing accurate data, clear analyses and dependable reporting. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to lead improvement projects, digitalize purchasing workflows and increase the effective use of procurement tools across our European organization. Your work will contribute to competitive costs, reliable supply, product quality, service and business continuity. You will also perform selected purchasing activities involving external suppliers, such as requesting quotations, comparing offers and following up on commercial agreements. In this role, you will: Gather, validate and maintain purchasing, supplier, pricing, contract and spend data. Prepare dashboards, KPI reports, savings trackers, supplier performance reports and tender overviews. Analyse spend, prices, quotations, market information and supplier performance. Support RFQs, RFPs and tenders, including offer comparisons and negotiation preparation. Coordinate and lead process-improvement and digitalization projects. Help implement and improve e-sourcing, reporting, workflow and supplier-management tools. Communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Manage selected suppliers or purchasing topics within an agreed scope. Identify practical improvements and contribute to the further professionalization of our European purchasing organization. This position is a good match if you enjoy combining data, coordination, technology and commercial activities. You are curious, accurate and proactive, and you feel comfortable taking ownership while also knowing when to ask for guidance. You ideally bring: A bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Some initial experience gained in purchasing, procurement, sales or commercial support, project support, or through a relevant internship. A basic understanding of purchasing processes, such as RFQs, RFPs, tenders, supplier management, negotiation preparation and contract follow-up. Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. Good Excel skills. Experience with Power BI or comparable reporting tools is an advantage. An interest in digitalization, workflow improvement and procurement e-tools. The ability to plan activities, coordinate stakeholders and meet deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English. Additional European languages are an advantage. A good command of Microsoft 365. Experience with ERP, e-sourcing, supplier-management or automation platforms would be beneficial. Experience in the automotive industry, aftermarket, distribution or another international environment is welcome, but not essential. More importantly, you are collaborative, improvement-oriented and enthusiastic about developing your purchasing expertise. As our Purchasing Specialist, you will combine recurring purchasing support with project ownership and selected supplier-facing activities. Your priorities may change depending on business needs, sourcing projects and project timelines. You will work closely with the Central Purchasing Manager, Category Purchasers, local purchasing and operational teams, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Legal, and product and technical specialists. You will also maintain contact with external suppliers regarding data requests, quotations, project coordination and selected commercial topics. The position does not include direct people-management responsibility. However, it offers broad exposure to purchasing categories, suppliers, analytics, digital procurement tools and international cross-functional projects. This makes it an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation for further development within Saint-Gobain. You will join the Sekurit AGR Central Purchasing team, which is part of the AGR Central Supply Chain and supports purchasing activities for the Automotive Glazing Replacement business. Our AGR organization operates internationally across Europe and includes 26 affiliates, three production sites and two central hubs. The business is part of the Saint-Gobain Mobility Business Unit. Within Saint-Gobain, we value customer focus, entrepreneurship, innovation, agility and an open, engaging culture. You will work in an environment where ideas are welcomed, collaboration is essential and you are encouraged to improve existing ways of working. Interested? We look forward to receiving your application and learning more about you.
