On behalf of our premier client in the Netherlands, we are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst. Our client is an established, forward-thinking enterprise within the IT and Data sector that leverages advanced data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and digital innovation across the European market. This position requires a physical on-site presence at our client's Netherlands facility and direct collaboration with local cross-functional business and technical teams. Role Overview As a Data Analyst, you will serve as the critical bridge between raw data and actionable business strategy. You will be responsible for extracting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, identify anomalies, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Operating within an Agile environment, you will work closely on-site with data engineers, product managers, and executive stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and build reporting solutions that empower data-driven business decisions. Key Responsibilities Data Extraction & Querying: Write advanced SQL queries to extract targeted datasets from enterprise relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery). Data Analysis & Modeling: Conduct deep-dive statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and trend forecasting using Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or advanced Excel functions to uncover hidden patterns. Data Visualization & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using industry-standard BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense) to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate directly with Dutch business units to understand their operational challenges, translate these into analytical requirements, and define measurable KPIs. Data Quality Assurance: Partner with Data Engineers to validate data integrity, troubleshoot discrepancies in reporting, and ensure the accuracy of the underlying data models. Actionable Insights: Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, effectively storytelling with data to guide business optimization and product growth. Mandatory Candidate Requirements Language Proficiency: Professional, fluent proficiency in Dutch (spoken and written) is mandatory (minimum CEFR B2/C1 level). Candidates must be able to conduct all day-to-day work, elicit requirements from local stakeholders, present findings, and collaborate cross-functionally entirely in Dutch. Professional working proficiency in English is also required. Work Arrangement: 100% On-site. Candidates must work full-time at the client’s designated location in the Netherlands. Hybrid or remote arrangements are not offered for this role. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management, or a related quantitative field. Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5+ years of demonstrable commercial experience operating as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-heavy role. Core Competencies: Strong mastery of SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau). Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis is highly preferred. Exceptional critical thinking and presentation skills. Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in the Netherlands, or qualify for the Dutch Highly Skilled Migrant (Kennismigrant) scheme. Core Responsibilities

Extract, clean, and analyze enterprise datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities, and define KPIs with local business stakeholders. Build and maintain dashboards and reports, validate data quality with data engineers, and present actionable recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative or related field, 2–5+ years of relevant commercial experience, and professional fluency in Dutch plus working proficiency in English. Candidates must be eligible to work in the Netherlands and have strong SQL and BI visualization skills; Python or R proficiency is highly preferred.
