Job Description

Internship – Procurement Transformation Europe "This internship showed me what transformation really looks like in practice. From streamlining and automating reporting to navigating stakeholders, I learned how procurement evolves from the inside out — and I loved every minute of it!" “- Huten Vasell The internship Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in business transformation, project management, and procurement? As an intern, you won't just watch; you will drive a high-impact regional program across Europe. You’ll work at the intersection of communication, data automation, and "program hygiene." This role is perfect for someone who wants to move beyond theory and see how transformation really happens by keeping timelines moving and creating the documentation that ensures our long-term continuity. Ownership & Delivery: Taking end-to-end responsibility for concrete deliverables and smaller workstreams or country coordination. Program Excellence: Maintaining "program hygiene" (action logs, tracking) and building playbooks and handover packs to ensure continuity. Data & Visibility: Standardizing and automating reporting to improve data accuracy and visibility across our OpCos. Stakeholder Engagement: Creating structured communication materials and chasing inputs to keep regional projects on track. Process Innovation: Identifying operational pain points and supporting lightweight automation to improve how we work. Your new team and workplace You will be part of the HEINEKEN Global Procurement team, working for the region Europe and in close collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing Director for Commerce and Business Services and her full team. This function is integral to HEINEKEN's success, and the role offers significant opportunities to contribute to high-impact initiatives. During your internship, you’ll have every opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as an organization, not just within your own team, but across departments. We trust and empower you to work with an entrepreneurial mindset. At HEINEKEN, we love bringing the outside world in and welcome fresh, new ideas with open arms. Of course, we’ll make sure you get the guidance that suits you. What a Day In The Internship Could Look Like ‘’No two days are exactly the same, but we try to keep a clear weekly rhythm. Every morning starts with a 15-minute team check-in to catch up personally and share what everyone is working on. From there, you could be analysing data for a European glass tender, preparing a Q&A with our OpCos, supporting a POSM or D&T project, or creating a video with one of our suppliers. You’ll see first-hand how change is implemented in a global company, including the real-life complexities behind transformation. You’ll work across Procurement, Finance, HR, Marketing and D&T and with colleagues across our European OpCos. We want you to contribute, not just observe. You’ll have the freedom to take ownership, bring your own ideas and shape your development around the skills you want to build. As one of our current interns describes it: you feel seen and heard, and you can genuinely see the value you add to the team. You’ll gain practical experience with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Copilot, data analysis and stakeholder communication. We combine working from Amsterdam and Schiphol with working from home. And there’s a social side too, whether that’s lunch with the Procurement team, meeting other interns or joining a HEINEKEN event after work.’’ The unique you! We believe everyone has unique talents, which is why we’re looking for you! Energy, drive and the ambition to grow are what make the difference at HEINEKEN. In addition, you bring: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate well with others Confidence in processing and analyzing data; advanced Excel and PowerBI skills (or the motivation to learn them) Fluent English, both written and spoken A natural interest in problem-solving, innovation and organization High energy and a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment Curiosity to explore a future career in Procurement Even if you feel you don’t meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply. An internship is the perfect opportunity to learn and grow! In addition, we offer you: A full-time internship, starting as soon as possible but ultimately on September 1, 2026 The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor) Your home office will be located in Amsterdam At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship) If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed Interested?
