About SOFAR SOLAR SOFAR SOLAR is a global provider of solar PV inverters and energy storage solutions, delivering innovative and reliable renewable energy technologies to customers worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to support our growing business across the Benelux region, with a focus on solar PV inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Key Responsibilities Provide technical pre-sales support for solar PV inverters, hybrid inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the Benelux market. Develop technical solutions, system configurations, and product recommendations based on customer and project requirements. Support the design and sizing of commercial & industrial (C&I) and utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. Prepare technical proposals, system diagrams, product specifications, and tender documentation. Work closely with the sales team to support customer meetings, technical presentations, and project discussions. Provide technical consultation to EPC contractors, developers, distributors, and other business partners. Review project requirements, electrical designs, and relevant local grid connection standards. Coordinate with product management, R&D, and technical service teams to address customer technical requirements. Deliver technical training and product presentations to customers and partners. Follow up on project opportunities from the initial technical discussion through solution development and project handover. Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant experience in technical pre-sales, application engineering, or solution engineering within the solar PV or energy storage industry. Good technical knowledge of solar inverters, BESS, power conversion systems (PCS), and related electrical systems. Experience in C&I or utility-scale energy storage projects is highly preferred. Familiarity with European electrical standards and grid connection requirements. Strong communication, presentation, and technical problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English and at least one local language (Dutch or French); additional language skills are an advantage. Willingness to travel across the Benelux region for customer meetings and project support. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with international teams.

Core Responsibilities

Provide technical pre-sales support and develop system configurations, product recommendations, and proposals for solar PV and energy storage projects across the Benelux region. Advise customers and partners, support sales discussions and training, review project and grid requirements, and coordinate with internal teams through project handover.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, power engineering, renewable energy, or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant solar PV or energy storage experience. Candidates should have strong inverter and BESS knowledge, familiarity with European electrical and grid requirements, excellent communication skills, English and Dutch or French proficiency, and willingness to travel across Benelux.
