Description of assignment
Are you passionate about bridging commercial decision-making, digital transformation, and advanced software tools? Within our TAL EMEA APAC organization at Vanderlande, Sales Engineering teams support warehouse automation proposals across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Currently, multiple costing methodologies, legacy spreadsheets, and regional calculation tools are used across various entities and technologies. This fragmentation creates inconsistencies, reduces financial transparency, increases engineering effort, and impacts proposal speed.
In this strategic assignment, you will tackle a central research question: How can TAL EMEA APAC develop and implement a harmonized costing methodology and sustainable tooling architecture that improves consistency, accuracy, maintainability, and efficiency within the commercial costing process? You will conduct stakeholder workshops across global teams, define functional requirements, investigate backend architectures, and build a functional proof-of-concept tool. Your work will directly shape how Vanderlande calculates commercial proposals worldwide, driving competitive advantage and commercial scalability.
