Your day at NTT DATA

The Oracle database engineer, specialist or architect supports complex Oracle database services and associated high-availability, recovery and performance technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Oracle databases, tablespaces, jobs, backups and performance.
• Resolve incidents involving availability, connectivity, capacity and performance.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade Oracle database platforms.
• Manage backup and recovery using approved tools and procedures.
• Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard and other resilience technologies.
• Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
• Administer database access, auditing and security controls.
• Support migrations, upgrades and platform transformations.
• Automate health checks, reporting and recurring administration.
• Maintain database documentation, recovery procedures and configuration records.
• At senior levels, lead complex performance and recovery investigations.
• At L5, define Oracle database strategy, architecture and lifecycle plans.

• Oracle Database.

• Performance diagnostics and SQL tuning.
• Linux or Unix operating environments.
